Resetting our keybinds - stability & decay timers

We all know (or should) by now that when AoS gets released you will reset our keybinds. For most of the keybinds, that is just a minor inconvenience. You mentioned the reset several times in your streams and alluded that opening the Inventory screen needed to be rebound to TAB. However, it seems the real reason is that you have gotten rid of the hotkey to check stability & decay timers altogether (perhaps for PvP reasons, I’m not sure).

Removing this hotkey is very uncomfortable feeling, as hotbar slots are very limited (I’ll save the question of why we only have 8 hotbar slots instead of 10 for another thread). In AoS, I now need to carry/equip a (construction) hammer just to check the cost of building something. Additionally, I need to carry/equip a second hammer just to check the stability or decay timers??

Scenario:

  • So I am building in the new (and improved) building system and I run into an issue where I can’t place a roof piece. Now, in order to troubleshoot my screwed up build, I must leave building mode and equip a repair hammer to see stability? Really?

  • Similarly, if I’m building a new outpost somewhere away from my main base, I now must remember to bring 2 hammers with me? Seriously?

Suggestion:
Can we please get our hotkey to check stability and decay timers back? Please? At minimum, allow the construction hammer to check stability and decay so we don’t have to carry 2 hammers.

Note: I have perused the input.ini and found no available hotkey to assign to this function, please correct me if I’m wrong and I will gladly delete this post.
