Roleplay Servers Crashing - Several

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Crash
Game Mode: Online Private
Server Type: Roleplay
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: Oblivion
Mods: Steam Workshop::Official Oblivion Ravenloft RP Server

Bug Description:

Starting from roughly November 11th, Oblivion and several other RP servers began randomly crashing. The issue with this bug is that it is not a bug only effecting one server but several. Whilst I do not keep up to date with PvP or PvE servers, in the RP server community these crashes appear to happen consistently across all servers, both big and small. It tends to occur most often with more layers online and is inconsistent. Some days you can crash once or twice, other days you can be crashing eight times. Sometimes, back to back. The primary issue is, no matter how many logging tools you use for the server, there is no indication of the cause. Nor can anything be replicated after player reports. Some crashes do not even seem to give error messages at all. Most of the errors are empty and meaningless with generic reports and no information.

Bug Reproduction:

There are no evident steps that are causing this bug. Multiple reports are given from various players but nothing ever consistently replicates a crash. - It is only ‘easily’ replicated by an increased player population which would lead me to believe that it is something triggered by players unintentionally or passively.

As you can see with the above, most frequent crash report. No actual information is given of any value and does not allow anything to be determined based on the generic error reports.

One of your mods needs to be updated. Remove and replace one at a time until you determine which one it is. If this is not possible for you, then you will have to just be patient. That is one of the many draw backs to playing with mods. Best of luck.

All of the mods have been up to date since November 11th and have been crashing since. This isn’t related to mod errors with 3.1

I’m sorry but Chapter Two was released on Dec-6th, so if you have mods that haven’t been updated since then, that is where you should start. Or…you can just be patient, it is definitely mod related though. Best of luck.

I do not doubt that it’s mod related. But the crashes have been consistent since pre 3.1 and carried over. It has nothing to do with the 3.1 patch is what I am saying, nor did the patch resolve it.
