I’ve come to the conclusion the game would be better off if funcom just left it alone.
Already done my time and service, have the scars and the compensation to show for it. No regrets there.
That you see no distinction between serving our nation and serving the parasites enriching themselves at the expense of it is tragic.
This would imply your time in the military was mercenary work. And I know from other sources you weren’t in the Secret Service, a career condition which might have tangentially placed an agent in the vicinity of an as-described “American Oligarch.” You didn’t bleed for them.
I’ll para-quote Black Hawk Down: “It’s not about the mission or some idea, and the minute a bullet whizzes past your head you’ll know it too. It’s about the fighters beside you.”
You fought for the mission, and your nation is grateful for it. You did it to protect our right to say angry things: to reinforce the idea that our society would rather use the pen than the knife. You fought, paradoxically, so that people can openly cheer for a gruesome and frankly, cowardly act.
We’re all Barbarians here. We can be honest. Happy New Year. We are also, paradoxically on the same side. I would like more transparency from the Dev Team while I firmly demand respect for the humans who work on our incredible game.
