Since the, ahum, hotfix from a few days ago there are no random encounters with Were Hyenas anymore.
How am I going to come by the necessary Gnarled Fangs now Funcom?? You guys going to give it for free as a compensation or what?? I really wanted to buy that cloak and a Were Hyena and some other stuff…

Sooo, turns out i probably made a booboo myself this time. Doesn’t take away the fact that it’s been made too complicated if you can actually turn off participation to the Sacred Hunt. Why…??
I also think this event is being held way too short of course. You have to literally grind this thing 24/7 for 2 weeks and then you still can’t buy everything, not even close… Why…??

I can confirm it’s working on official PC servers.
To cover the basics… Are you sure you didn’t opt out of the hunt via the dialog options with the NPC at the alter?
Are you far enough away from any obelisk, town, no build area, champion spawn stone or any structure that you own? Werehyenas will not spawn in or near those areas. The distance required seems to be what is generally referred to as render distance. It’s rather far.
Mate, I had Werehyeana encounters very close to any type of building or structure you are referring to. So that one doesn’t fly.
I will check out the dialog thingy again tho, because even tho I corrected the opt out I accidentally clicked on, it wouldn’t surprise me if Fucnom would make us choose that option a million times before it will actually work again…
I can’t say that console and PC have the same mechanics. But 100% on PC if you’re in Sepermeru, by one of the champion trigger points, etc, etc, the werehyenas will never spawn. Move away and they do. It’s easy to test.
What can happen is that a werehyena spawns behind you as you’re moving towards one of those places and chases you there, attacking when you stop. That could certainly seem as if it spawned there.
