Sandstorm bugged on SP?

Playing single palyer, noticed no sandstorm in the desert bioma. went to config–>server–>general, and the sandstorm option is on. Started a new game and same, no sandstorm at all

It is a random spawn. It will spawn, but you don’t control the dark god bound into the storm from the Priest King.
