When crafting Sorcerous Spell Pages in the Thaumaturgy Bench, if a Tome of Nergal is also present in the station, you will be gifted an additional Sorcerous Spell Page for free.
This is confirmed an intentional feature specifically coded to work this way and not a bug.
With the December update, Sorcerous Spell Pages have suddenly become far more valuable. Invest 10 Pages in making a Tome of Nergal to keep in your bench for increased future output.
You need a Tome of Nergal to summon the Traitor of Blood and It That Hunts, though doing so does not consume the Tome. However, summoning Bokrug does. If you want to do a lot of transmutation sorcery, you will need to make a lot of Tomes of Nergal, which are 10 Pages each.
Keeping one Tome in the bench for Page-making would allow you to produce additional Tomes faster for Bokrug summoning.
Any transmutations that use Potent Sorcerous Lifeblood. A Molten Heart is required to make Potent Sorcerous Lifeblood, Bokrug is where you get the heart, the Tome of Nergal is required (and consumed) to summon Bokrug, you need ten Sorcerous Spell Pages to make a Tome of Nergal.
That’s strange. I’m not needing a tome of nergal to summon bokrug.
With a named sorcerer and a tome of nergal use the Research 4 option to get three pages per craft. I haven’t tried the other Research options so they may or may not be the same.
Be sure to harvest each bokrug for an extra heart.
Admin spawned hyborean witch blood has a blurb in the inventory description that says using it grants a new character appearance option. Though this is not present on the More Info page. I could never find a way to use/consume it with the character anyway and when I realized that resummoning It That Hunts had a long cooldown I lost interest. Maybe there’s a way if you’re persistent, maybe it’s not completely implemented yet or maybe that text shouldn’t be there at all. Good luck to anyone who wants to dig into it.
Edit to mention that the Research 4 option requires 5 black blood. Dismantling a Sorcerous spell page gives 5 black blood that can then be used to make three more pages. I suspect this wasn’t intended and won’t last.
Same. Two hours per fetch is what I found after manually waiting and checking every 10 minutes. You only need one Hyperborean blood, but each time you want to make the high tier transmutation lifeblood, you’ll need sanctified tresses as well. You get 5 from ITH, again every 2 hours. That’s effectively a hard cap of 15 transmutes per 2 hours if you have him always running, in addition to the constant investment into bokrug for molten hearts, and of course the obsidian gems to pay him each time. Transmutation is not cheap, nor is it fast. The lower tiers are and I think they’re done well, but ITH’s arbitrary time gate makes high tier transmutation not worth it when in those 2 hours you could just go get the thing you’re trying to make anyways.
Tephra, i have found that if i use the summon corpse spell the tome of nergal is not spawning with the body meaning i have to make a new book each time? is it just me?
