Seige cauldrons do absolutely no damage

Game mode: [Online | Private Server (PvP)]
Problem: [Bug]
Region: [North America]

So this has been a bug for a long while I think, when I first joined the server i’m on and my clan built our first base we added cauldrons above our gate, added the tar as we’re supposed to and everything and they shouldve been good to go. When we went to test them, the cauldron would tip to drop the load but there was no animation for falling oil or anything and no damage. At this point we figured maybe it doesnt hurt friendlies and shrugged it off. That base was destroyed before we had a chance to test it on an enemy.

Fast forward a few months to now, where my clans active members need to make a new clan because the leader quit and won’t pass clan ownership. I’m in the new clan and one of my friends is in the old one still to help transfer our belongings over, and once i have the new base set up i decide to try testing out the cauldrons again on an “enemy” player. Same story, it does absolutely no damage regardless of where he’s standing or climbing in relation to the cauldron. This should be a powerful defensive tool and it does nothing, please get this patched soon.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Place seige cauldron on crenelated wall
  2. Add tar
  3. Pull lever
  4. Be disappointed your enemy didnt get cooked

On a side note 2x2 large door pieces would be awesome, we only have little doors and massive doors, give us something in the middle.

Venom infused daggers give 3 stacks of poison per hit and are too strong

Hello @Milak, thank you for your feedback!

We’ve registered the Siege Cauldron issue for further investigation, and your suggestions as well for the developers to consider.

Hey thanks, here’s to hoping it’s an easy fix. Fingers crossed they greenlight the big doors, if it helps, nearly everyone I’ve talked to about it including most people on my server (we have a discord) said they also wish they had some medium doors. They’d be excellent for entrances to big house style builds or as secondary entrances behind the larger gates. Oh man i could think of so many ways that a simple addition like that could spice up a build
