Server Transfer ;(

I want to meet my friends now. It’s been 3 months. We’ve been playing on separate servers, but some of them even quit the game because we couldn’t come to the same place, so they go to play another game. why always battle pass and money making things always in the spotlight. The oldest player of the 1003 server I am currently in, the active number used to not fall below 15, and now it is maximal 5-6 people. Everyone leaves the game because there is no entertainment left. my friends with other results now want to play next to me. please put this player transfer on the plan now. by by

In three months, you could have several characters up to level 60 with full recipes. Its been over half a year since server transfers weren’t available and there is still no ETA. I’d say expect another six months before getting any word on this.

In that time you could all choose to be on a server and level up together and easily get back to where you were before. This isn’t a MMORPG where it takes months to get a character maxed out. Conan takes at most 2 weeks for an experienced player.

I happen to agree with @Taemien on the barricade you placed for meeting your friends, truly, you could join their server and level up in no time. Not to mention that they probably have chests filled with useless recipes that you could use too.
BUT…
I do want the server transfers as you do, mostly for role play reasons. I don’t believe that exile lands needs the Siptah gear, but Siptah needs some exile lands recipes to be more pleasant.
So if these tranfers return, i would beg the devs not to allow gear transfer, just naked bodies, even if i totally love dogs.
So my suggestion is…
If i transfer from the one map to the other, i transfer naked but i don’t loose my facilities and belongings. This way i can transfer the same character twice the week and maintain my belongings in each map.
I know that this sounds useless, but the problems server transfers brought in pvp were humongous, so no gear transfer!

No transfers to PVP - period.
People abusing pvp to much, undermesh, bodyvaults, head stomping, etc, so i dont believe its gonna happen

If they are your friends as you say then why were they not already on the server with you? Something smells fishy with this thread.

I agree with you … You can easily level a character to 60 in 3 days especially if joining already established players who can kit you out…

And then half the world recipes are totally useless anyway and you just take your time picking a few of the key ones you need…

I agree with the others here, join your already established friends, if the issue is as you say the inability to reunite. Server Transfers being unavailable is just as an excuse.

I vote for them not returning or returning as an expensive service with min 30 days cooldown. I don’t miss the hundreds of threads about characters stuck due to failed transfers. I am sure customer support doesn’t either.

Crom - how many tickets for the subject of ‘Server Transfer’.
At the risk of dragging this repeat ticket out, I am in agreement with the prevalent replies: a long cooldown if Transfer is brought back, a number of other sensible criteria - and/or don’t bring it back (please)!

Join your friends and level up where they are.

I think the only way this would have worked is if the core game was there, with the Character credentials layered generically above that. Then the respective Maps layered above that, if that was at all possible so that it was just a basic inventory and the character details are transferred across. How the bases, thralls, etc would be tagged on, who knows. A lovely idea, but if pulled off, wow! Great Programming achievements all round!

‘Transference’ is a practical and exploitable nightmare in its current form. Transference ultimately requires a lot to work correctly: a perfect, stable connection throughout; No players trying to abuse and misuse (not likely); etc. List of reasons not to is a long one.

Agreed! Welcome to why most companies charge to transfer. They have to transfer the stuff from the servers which doesn’t mean everything will transfer . Plus some think they can remain logged in during the transfer which bugs it.

I agree that the subject of character transfer has been discussed a lot, maybe too much, I also agree that for some it won’t be a huge problem to level a new character to play with friends, I have had no problem doing this
But there’s a bit more to it than that, some care for their character, they may not have much time to play or their friends is simply split between Siptah and Exiled Lands which makes it a bit more complicated without a way travel between the 2 maps, unless you have the time to level and maintain character and bases on 2 servers… I did it but not all have or want to spend the amount of time needed

OP has a point although I don’t entirely agree with him, some of my friends decided to stop playing because they felt that we became too split between the 2 maps and that they didn’t want or had the time to play on both, so yeah the lack of connection between the 2 maps sort of push some of them away

I really hope that character transfer will return in a fixed and hopefully more immersive way for at least travelling between the 2 official maps.
I do understand the pvp situation and hope they can find a way for it not to be a problem there, but in my opinion, the biggest problem with Siptah is that it never felt like an expansion and quite often split people instead of increasing their fun together

You can say what you want, but it still won’t change how a lot of people feel about the lack of connection between the 2 maps, and I really hope that Funcom acknowledge this but also keep the balance for pvp

Its easy, open for transfer on PVE
that would solve many of the current complains regarding transfer in PVP, and at the same time give us playing long term the freedom of transfer.
Regarding many posts on the same topic, if this is the only communication route to funcom, and all the posts get closed 7 days after last post, and ever so often sooner than 7 days by moderator, what can we do other than post again, someday they might read and respond.

It takes a few hours at most to go from zero to 60 if thats what youre trying to do. Recipes and gearsets obviously take longer.

Farming mushrooms, red/black/gold lotus flowers and black ice gives huge XP.
