Suggestion for the Bazaar

Could get us to have a “reserve” feature, even if limited.

Today I dropped some dozens of dozens bucks to get some stuff, and due to it being out of business hours (to us BR the Bacen do handle transfers everyday, sun-sun, but only from 6am to 8pm) so my wire went through (from Uruguay), but I had to way until 6am to do the pix (Br Gov system for payments), and the item I wanted went out of the list in the meantime.

So we could have some type of “reserve” because things seem to take a good while to show up back in there.

To those who sure will try to make a speech station out of this, I dont care. To me the game works fine as it is, could be better, but could be worse too. As far as I am concerned, not breaking my mods, they can take their time to fix stuff as much as they like. If the game is minimally functional and only some inventory or control is faulty, my solution is simple:

Just make everything available at all times and have a storefront with rotating sales. I don’t think we should be compromising on that. No offense.

Or at least EXPAND the bazaar. Maybe a couple pages with the first being new and featured items, as well as sales. I know FOMO is a big deal for these developers today, so at least expanding it a bit will allow for FOMO rotations without losing everything too quickly.

FOMO is the Methamphetamine of monetization. Sure… it feels good for people in a boardroom. But it has no substance, makes you look trashy, and in the end makes you broke as it rots from the inside.

Seriously though, an open store front where players can buy what they want, when they want will generate more revenue. There’s no reason for artificial scarcity, as its insulting everyone’s intelligence.

Its pretty simple. Let the players spend their money now. They literally paid artists to make this stuff, and then tell us we can only buy it when they want us to. That is saying, “We don’t want your money right this moment, but maybe later.”

Oh I know… I just don’t see that going away any time soon. The only choice you may have is to compromise. That’s why multiple pages seems to be the most likely solution. Something like whay fallout 76 does would at least be a better option.

Would having everything bet the best? Yeah… is it likely? Doubtful. I’d love to be proven wrong though.

We don’t always (read: often) agree,
Which is why this one so keenly notes when we do.

At this interval, there is a hefty catalogue of available items.
The rotation can be for the special packages or new arrivals. For those who want it now, the regular price listing should be available.

Wish we had that hidden doors pack back, the one with the bookcase that i believe reveals a door.

That one I saw and I got someone to make the PIX (again, BR system) for me to pay when I got home, because I was out in a trip and could not make the transfer, but I knew when I got home it would not be there anymore.

It think this “small” selection is such a loss in terms of them selling stuff.
Not that it would “empty their shelves” if they sold stuff “out of season”.

That one, I might slightly disagree.

IF you have a bundle for example, it should be available sometimes, like a sale of sorts.

If some stuff is in “probation”, meaning it is a new item, and they see it is not selling as intended, they could pull it and give space to other stuff. So in that case it is smart to make new items for a time in a “new arrivals” shelf so they test the waters. If they merit sales, they go to the permanent selection. Also a form of not overwhelming the buyer with one too many offers.

However one can see a pattern here: People often ask why they dont leave stuff there mentioning a very narrow list of items they wish they were there. That is a sign it is a “trendy item”, and making “hard to get” might be something some business do, but it is not smart in a game. We wont be paying more for an item just because it does not show. We probably would be “not buying” until it does, and complain if it does come back more expensive.

As “gamers” we are folks that in general knows how to do math in terms of prices, and we are trained by the games to watch shops, “gold per minute” and “value of time” as they are prominent figures in games.

It is not smart to a gaming company try to pull certain tactics that their own games teach us not to fall for.

Bundles I consider as part of sales. And have no issue with them rotating in and out or changing over time.

saw them twice in the bazaar since while I am still waiting for over a year for the hedges to come back
