Suggestions for Chapter 2 - Age of War

Dear Devs,

I hope Age of War has been the success you hope it was. The following are observations my clan has made playing on PVE servers since AoW started. Perhaps they’ll be helpful to you as you look for ways to improve the game.

-Let us put Puffball and Shroom Amonatta in driers to create spores that we can plant in planters.

-Let us put Scorpion Queen Glands and Sandbeast Bile Glands into a fluid press for Ichor.

-Create a “Display Shelf” for items such as potions and orbs that we can spread around our bases to decorate.

-Add a compass to the game. It’s over 5 years old now, there’s no need to keep the roleplay element. Through Sorcery, you’ve let us place instant travel anywhere we please, allowing us to skip over mounds of content. So how would a compass at the top ruin things any further? Please add this important QoL feature. It would be tremendously helpful for new players trying to navigate Siptah and the Exiled Lands.

-Allow clan leaders to put markers on the map that all members can see.

-Speaking of markers, let us also add colors to our map markers.

-Let us break down golem parts into resources using the dismantling bench.

-Bring back server transfers, please!

-Please add some color coding to different arrows like ivory, explosive, poison, firespark, etc. Right now, it’s tough to tell them apart at a glance, especially for newer players.

-Create a new weapon modification item for the Tinker’s bench that lets us add Glowing to weapons. This would be not only useful when adventuring, but also very nice weapon display racks.

-If you’re thinking of a new placeable to add, I would like something that functions as a Preservation Box but has the storage capacity of a Vault. Something like an “Ice Vault” or something of that nature.

-Also, an Improved Fluid Press and Improved Grinder with greater capacities and speed would be most appreciated.

-A Large Compost Heap that could hold three stacks of grubs instead of just one would also be nice and help cut down on the number of composters eating resources on your maps.

-The white dragon in the Temple of Frost sometimes falls into the floor and you can’t kill it. Something with the floor needs to be fixed there.

-Let us dismantle unwanted armor and weapon repair kits into resources. Or if not dismantle, let us upgrade the kits we find into higher tier ones somehow so we don’t have all these useless advanced repair kits lying around.

-Allow thralls to carry a torch in their off hand if they aren’t wielding a shield or two handed weapon.

-Add an invisible queue in the background for weapon and tool swaps so that, when we push the button to change our main-hand item, the game registers that command then executes it at the next opportunity. Doing so will make Conan feel much more responsive to the player. New World implemented something similar for its weapon swaps early on, and it made changing weapons in that game SO much more comfortable.

-Sometimes when I’m on autorun and I take a drink of water in a river or something, my character stops running. That’s aggravating. If you could prevent that from happening, it would be a nice QOL improvement.

-Let us put bindings on weapon display racks.

Things that are still confusing for new players:

-The Tanner’s Table requires an Armorer to get the special recipes.

-Poison Arrows and Snake Arrows get confused for each other all the time. Renaming Poison Arrows to Gas Arrows would be helpful.

-Concussive weapons don’t display the amount of concussive damage they do, which makes evaluating the differences among items difficult as well as understanding what a blunted weapon fitting does.
