Lets see, no foundation webs on the public servers I’ve been on? Some one is slipping.
Bridges, Roads, paths: All over by multiple builders.
Decorative Land Claim: Who doesn’t do this? It’s as common as sandstone cubes.
Walls and Villages: Yup, and a couple of those villages are so large I thought funcom had added them.
Are these not just building templates for PVE?
You’d be hard pressed to convince me it’s not because after having been on 6 different PVE servers in the last couple weeks it’s pretty much groundhog day.
The least populated PVE server I’ve found I fall through the ground 3 or 4 times on a respawn before spawning on my bed. Maybe that is why it’s low pop.
Putting up examples of ToC violations does no good no matter how up in your face it is if no one actually looks at them, or the rules are not actually enforced.
Thread after thread prove this passive enforcement based on players reports simply does not work. The system is either abused or not used, both are bad.
Funcom please have a rep set down with us and have a real discussion on what can be done.
Stop spamming forum about TOC , Just Because you cant make friends and you dont like others players base you dont need to spam forum about TOC EVERY hour of days Go play the game If you cant find a good server for you in the 700 servers funcom have you can play in SINGLE player and PLEASE stop spamming forum.
I agree this needs to be done better. I know this has been said before many times. I think the rules are too vague and prone to be misconstrued and not enforced very well. Like so many issues it is probably very complicated and no solution that will please all. I don’t mind seeing posts that are pointing out issues that need to be resolved. Sometimes you have to bring something up many times before anything is done. Having some type of discussion with Funcom I believe would help. Maybe a chance for players beforehand to input issues with possible resolutions and then they (Funcom) gets time to look it over and reply with what they are able to do. I am sure others probably have even better ideas how to go about this.
How about no? This has been a HUGE issue for years now.

No vision or intent.
No continuity and consistency.
We’re left constantly questioning why this was done that way, why that was not done, why, why, why.
Very little answers and even then, you have to DIG through posts, buried in hundreds of comments to get morsels. Even when they do, their explanations create more questions and doubt.
Why right now we have others huge problems to ask funcom to solve like ALL the bugs from updates , hackers , meshers , useless thralls broken UI and many others.
The MAP from exiles land are so big to Someone cry about others players house or SMALL builds like bridges or big castles If you dont like Someone build or If Someone build its too ugly or too big for you Just move on!!!
Come on It a game where you can build the trailer from the game show It check the end of trailer what you SEE?
Also funcom gived us all the items so big Theres no way to make a SMALL base the big benchs the stables ,big animal pens , the Wheel of Pains , the altars , the MAP room , many decorative items did Someone SEE the New lemurian brazier from the event?
What i think people shall do is stop cry about bases and Begin cry about what really hurt in It game a huge base or castle wont Will stop anyone from play It game you can move on but a hacker , meshers , a critical bug or glitch can make many people stop play.
TOC shall be used Just in last case like bases in undermesh , base blocking important content base walling , spam foundations and some others cases.
If peoples dont like big bases They shall ask funcom to rework the trailer and Put a little cabin in the end and rework every single big bench , altar , map room , stables , animal pen and almost all decoration.
So let funcom working REALLY in what hurt It game and no in a Barbie castle @DeaconElie dont likes.
They need to establish a warning system before wiping peoples work. They lost so many potential bazaar customer by wiping unsuspecting players. I’m sure if they had received a warning they would have modified their base.
What does the size of the map have to do with ToC violations?
That are a clear ToC violation and why do you think they are small? One has 10, yes 10 animal pens on it. That is such a small bridge

Once again my base is the size of a map room plus 2 rows and 3 stories tall. I have more then enough room for everything.
The logic of “funcom gave it to me so I must use it” is beyond me. The T3 benches are more look then function. My opinion they are ornamental at best.
The stable is a small struckture. Why would you need more then one, more over why leave them up if you’re not using them?
Decorative items are ornamental and absolutely unnecessary. Don’t blame funcom because you want to show off all your bling.
That is debatable. If some city is so big I can’t get paste it with out my FPS bottoming out and constant rubber banding, your build is effecting my game and by that ToC is a violation. If you don’t think so read the ToC.

That has nothig to do with it, the ToC doesn’t care what I, or you, or anyone else likes. All we can do is report it, we don’t make the judgment call to wipe it. Of coarse first they actually have to investigate, and that is where this all goes to crap.
You do get Bob that handles zendesk isn’t a developer, so isn’t actually working on the game right? Not sure why you think funcom’s zendesk admin has anything to do with game development, but they don’t. Much like community managers, they don’t actually work on the game.
And if it was based in what I don’t like I’d report all the tortured women builds. I might be a sexist pig but those are builds of perversion; IMO. Oh I sure as hell will judge you for them, but not a ToC violation so not going to get reported.
Now I gave up reporting anyone a while back. #1 because 9/10 funcom never investigates. Sorry if you are that 10th report they actually check. #2 I can’t say anything about.
Now why did I quit? I like to set up a hunting lodge on the peak rock on swagger rock. Blocks nothing, hell I didn’t even set up stairs or an elevator because it’s not bad climb. Some have read my reports of the 3 story archers base some one built right at the front gate of the Stygian keep. When the keep renders in the battle commences and in no time the bodies were stacked and the lag was game braking. Add to that the game counted those archers as your party and spawned in enemies in accordance.
Well I got an email one day “we so busy hope issue solved self byeee”. Got on to play, stepped on my transpatroy pad and no rock for my hunting lodge. Ran all they way there, 3 thralls, everything else gone. “Lost stability” after being there 2 years.

I’m sorry but everything Funcom needs fixing dude. From the game, this very website and their processes for the ToC. This isn’t a new problem just like all the other things are not new problems. Which is why it keeps getting brought up.
I absolutely do. I haven’t reported anyone for land claim since 2021. I won’t add to the already overtaxed, poorly communicated, farce of a system.

And Deac is right. Those working Zendesk are probably not wearing 2 hats. Do you honestly think Umborls, the author of the land claim examples post, is coding weapons?
The irony that you ask that discussions on the ToC and Zendesk stop because of the labour involved in the suggestions yet want them to rework the trailer and the processes of the ToC/Zendesk lol
It went poof. Lost most everything I had looted from the keep. 8 chests full, several just mats from breaking down weapons and armor. I brought my thralls back to base one at a time and quit reporting violations.
Just mine. But last time I was there that base has removed all the archers from that side.
That base is the reason I’d like to see the no build around the Stygian keep extend out to agro range.
The rules now are more “visible” and Funcom tries to make it as clear as possible. In these rules however, logic is growing like the finest blossom, since i read that false reports will be handled accordingly. @Umborls already explained how this system works. Of course Funcom don’t want to loose costumers, yet rules are rules.
Mistakes? I believe they exist, yet their effort to learn from them and be better is visible.
I would warn my fellow exiles that “live services” are no joke. If you read the anniversary card they know every detail, every single one. It’s very easy* for them to create a program and tell them who has more than 10k building pieces on their official servers and how wide the spread is . It’s very easy* for them to know if someone is undermeshing or not.
Yet how they act for it will always be hidden from us and they know why, we simply shouldn’t.
A warning system!
Yes i agree, but having conversations with people who refuse to understand 1+1=2 often is pointless. And don’t forget that if someone gets a warning for ban, then he-she will ask for details.
Do you ask if they have the personnel for it?
Do you ask if the budget exists?
And i believe that they don’t need volunteers, especially volunteers playing in their (hypothetical) own server.
There’s no MY server when it comes to official servers, it’s all Funcom servers, nobody else’s!
And that’s the greatest mistake players do all these years while playing on Funcom servers, that’s why they meet punishment above all!
*nothing is easy but they can do it because they know how to!
