The game crashes repatedly

Hi! I’ve been playing the game for afew hours and I experience a lot of crashes over and over.

The game usually crash on:

  • Game saves (common)
  • When I level up (common)
  • When open boxes (rare)

Sometimes I can play for an hour, sometimes I can play for 5 minutes, but I know that it eventually will crash again.

My computer is brand new, about 3 weeks old. Running Windows 10 2004 (19041-508)

I reported the same on this forum - can’t post links, so here is my original post. No-one bothered to reply, so doesn’t look like this forum is worth much.

I installed the game from the Windows Store (Xbox game pass). The game worked perfectly until recently. It started crashing when loading or saving a game. I’m now at a point where I cannot successfully save the game. The only change on my side was installing Windows 10 update 2004.

I thought of reinstalling, or resetting the game, but I don’t know where the saved games are stored. They don’t seem to be in AppData\Local\Packages\FuncomOsloAS.MutantYearZeroRoadtoEden_pkaskhy6cdq4g\

There are a number of crash reports there however. The all indicate the error as: “The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.”

PC Specs:
Alienware m17 r3, Intel i9, 32GB RAM, NVidia RTX2070.
Windows 10 Pro, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.450
