The Isle Of Pit is a PvE-C server with a little bit of roleplay.
The server is based in the UK with a friendly admin. We currently have about 15 regulars, some of whom have teamed up to share resources, bases and to help each other out during the Purges. Others play by themselves but all have a great deal of fun.
We have a Discord channel which we use to communicate. Some players just choose to listen in, others can’t stop talking
We’d love to meet new players who get their kicks from exploring and building. If you’re a friendly kind person, this is the server for you.
I joined your server yesterday. Had the chance to talk to some of the people over there and they couldn’t be more friendly. Great first impression!
I’m pretty noob and at the moment I’m building my first camp (no more than a humble hut as it’ll be temporary). Anyway, I’m keen on RP and PvP in a RP context, reason why I decided to join a PVE-Conflict server. Speaking of which, what are your PvP rules?
See you in game soon! If anyone else is reading, at the moment I cannot but recommend this server.
No PvP rules really, if the game lets you do it then it’s fine but you’ll find everyone friendly and not a lot of fighting goes on. We have an arena for battles
Thanks
Hey there, here’s a bit of info about myself followed by a couple of quick questions.
I’m currently playing on one of the random official EU pvp servers due to the fact that it was the first server my buddy (who got the game at the same time as me) happened to click ‘connect’ on. I have to say the experience has been a little lacking, I’m really not a PvP player at heart and get more of a kick out of building impressive bases, exploration and co-operative play. I also happen to be a long time roleplayer both in video games and traditional ‘pen and paper’ roleplay systems. I am currently playing on the server with two real life friends from my hometown and am hoping to entice a third friend to pick the game up and join us. With that in mind…
Question, the first: Whilst I may be a big old Roleplayer at heart I do not believe my friends (at least one of them anyway) have ever roleplayed nor do I think they have much interest in Roleplaying. Is the Roleplay part of the server enforced or is it acceptable for non-roleplayers to to live on the server without potentially being made to feel uncomfortable? (Lets be honest non-roleplayers often find Rp to be silly and it takes to certain type of person to be able to fully pretend to be the character rather than just having the character be a tool to get game stuff done)
Question, the second: Is the server online all the time? Myself and my buddies are U.K based however we are mostly all night owls to a greater or lesser degree (I have worked the night shift since 2005 so I pretty much sleep all day and am active all night).
Question, the third: Is the server Discord mandatory? We have been using my own discord server so that the three of us can communicate more easily with each other, we may decide to switch over to your own Discord server if we choose to join you guys but is it also acceptable to remain on my own discord server and just use the in game Text or in game voice to communicate with others?
Question, the final: Is there an easy way to find your server so that I might dip my toe into the waters, so to speak, and see what it’s like? last night I tried typing ‘The Isle of Pit’ into the search function on the Conan server listings but didn’t seem to have any luck locating the server online. I would prefer to be able to take a look around and get a feel for the community before pulling my mates across to a whole new playthrough.
I appreciate your time in reading and replying to these questions and I look forward to further exploring the possibilities of finding a new home on your server.
Hi. Thanks for the message. You’d be very welcome on our server, with or without your mates. To answer your questions:
1, No, roll play isn’t manditory. Many players do not roll play and keep themselves to themselves. Others have built bases where you can visit and feast etc. There is a nice community here.
2, Yes our server is online 24/7 and has been for over a year with fast updates and friendly admins.
3, Discord is not mandatory, many don’t use it and that’s fine. Others tune in to just listen or just to read admin messages.
4, Just search for Isle of Pit in the PvE-C list or visit pitmonk.com for a link.
Typing this from my phone, i’ll message you tomorrow
Hope to see you online…
Nb, what area of the UK are you in? The server is in North London.
As for location, myself and my friends come from the East Midlands a town just a little ways north of the city of Nottingham, I should be dropping in to check out your server shortly and if everything works out as well as I am hoping it does I should be bringing a minimum of 2 and a possible maximum of 4 more players with me (Or at least convincing them to slowly drift on to the server over the next few days or so.)
Thank you for answering my questions, I look forward to meeting the community soon.
All the best,
Ignus Pyre.
