You shouldn’t look at it so harshly, Kapoteeni! 
The first motion picture from 1982 was a totally colorful mix of content from different stories that were completely taken out of context and thrown together wildly:
Valeria was included, but was no longer a pirate bride and was introduced in a scene that takes place on the Elephant’s Tower alludes to - without the Elephant’s Tower appearing.
The crucifixion from A Witch Will Be Born appears superficially, although it has a different background in the novel than in John Milius’ film … But luckily Funcom actually quotes Conan in the intro of Conan Exiles and lets him say that, which he also says in A Witch Will Be Born: “You civilized men are soft. Your lives are not nailed to your spines as are ours.” 
If the film really gets made and we finally see Arnie in this movie role …
… then I wouldn’t be surprised that one or more children of his own are placed alongside him in the film and that the topic of generational conflict is perhaps discussed.

Here it is shown how the successful assassination attempt on King Osric of Zamora was filmed, but was ultimately cut out of the film.
I think this is also a reference to one of the stories from the Conan universe, in which a young Conan was framed for the murdering of King of Zamora. If I remember correctly, that wasn’t even one of Robert Ervin Howard’s Conan stories - but another snippet from the seemingly inexhaustible pool of many Conan the Cimmerian stories.
