I think that it is unfortunate that they are focusing their efforts on pushing out new content, while the core game has issues currently that do not allow players to access the servers that they have been playing on, some for several years. Thats a lot of a personal investment, and its quite understandable that these people would be upset at not being able to play.
stating that the fix for this issue will come out in a patch after the new content Isle of Siptah is released doesn’t really say much.
This is problematic to me for several reasons:
There is no actual date specified when this will occur, so players will continue to be unable to access their servers after the new content is released.
Nearly every time that an update/patch is pushed out for this game, it fixes some things, but it breaks others.
Adding this fix to a patch which will include other fixes increases the chances that something unanticipated will occur. Despite plenty of experience, Funcom has not seemed able to get a handle on internal QA and testing of code before making it live.
I am disappointed that the company has decided to delay this fix for as long as they have.
