The problem is that only a small handful of items are available at a time, and if you’re not logged in to check daily then you can miss items that won’t return for weeks, if no longer, on end.
The solution is simple: make all items available and showcase specials/bundles. Also, each bundled items should offer the items individually because sometimes only a few items can be of interest.
This way, we won’t have to wait, and wait, and wait again for the desired item to appear on the bazaar.
Even though I’m sure the majority of customers would want this I doubt they’ll do it.
They would have to use resources to remake the bazaar UI, while simultaneously removing the player’s urge to panic-buy artificially limited time items. (Obviously they’re in a rotation but no one knows when something will come back except the developers.) People are generally much more frugal about their purchases when there’s no pressure of something disappearing.
It’s like the toilet paper shortage during the pandemic where everyone was buying tons more than they needed because it might not be there tomorrow thanks to: checks notes all the people panic-buying toilet paper.
That’s done on purpose so that the player base will “want” to sign in the check on the new changes in the Bazaar. However, I don’t think its having the desired effect. I don’t know of anyone who signs into the game ‘just to check the Bazaar.’ In fact, quite the opposite. The Bazaar never has what you’re looking for (displayed) and the prices are way too high even if it did.
That it exists?
That and lower the prices to a sensible level.
Or, alternatively, let the bundles prices be sensible while the ala carte pricing continues to be absurd.
That way marketing gets to keep their panic buy pricing, and for everyone else, the full catalogue is available… for a price.
Of course, another reason we won’t get a t catalogue is because it would be more obvious when they raise prices.
Which they do.
If Funcom listed everything at once on the bazaar they wouldn’t be able to stealthily increase the prices without people instantly noticing.
