The state of PvP is so bad

,

There seems to be two large groups of “PvP’ers” that run with hackers within their circle. When things get too tough for them, “let’s call in the hackers.” I’ve ran into the same two groups across multiple servers. (1526, 1530, 1539, 1540 are the hot ones right now that I know of on NA PvP servers) 1540 currently has most of them on there right now and they nuked the server earlier tonight. Meshed bombed keyhole, hit any and every base in sight, hit box pulling, speed hacking, looting locked chests, vaults, etc.

I’m not naming names, although I do have clips through the nose showing these clans interacting with the hackers, accepting loot, and helping them raid. For obvious reasons, I won’t post it here because let’s face it, the post would get IMMEDIATELY hidden. One of the players even creates YouTube content and is fairly popular in the PvP community. Which is extremely disappointing but it doesn’t surprise me to be honest.

Banning hackers isn’t solving anything. They can purchase 25 cent keys from a Chinese website all day long and get right back to it within minutes. There has to be another way to deal with this. We are hemorrhaging players in the PvP community because of this. I’ve lost so many clan mates and friends because of this issue, I’m down to just a couple of people that still play out of my once, large group of players, and no they did not quit because a new game came out, they quit because of hackers.

Funcom can drop all the new chapters and ages all they want, pvp’ers cannot enjoy pvp on their official servers because there is zero accountability and action on Funcom’s end. I loved this game. Now it’s turned into a completely different game, hide the loot from the hackers, and their clans. I don’t think that was the intention with this game when it was initially released lol.

There has to be something that can be done. Device banning would be amazing or something similar.

We always have. I still remember all the different exploits from launch. Conan would have a much larger player base today had so many people not been discouraged by game breaking exploits throughout the years. Still though, CE is the closest thing to the ideal game I want to play.

Exploits are in every game unfortunately, but admin panel level hacks just completely destroyed any sort of fun to be had in PvP officials. I literally watched a hacker delete an entire base in crevice on an official……there is only 3-4 officials that have a population at all. It’s sad.

Being one of those clan mates thatvhas step back (not really quit, just needed a hacker break), I can 2nd how jackers are like mercenaries now. PvP clans “hire” them when they feel threatened by legit players. And it takes way to long for verified evidence to pass thru zendesk, that it is starting to feel like these hackers are FC devs. There is an actual console command that can be exploited. Add in 3rd party hacks amd you got the shiiiitttiest pvp mechanics by a gaming company. One fix is to require new accounts play on pve official and fully level to 60 with 240 hours game time before being allowed on pvp officials. Then at least a ban means they have to grind to get back on pvp.

Or at least have some kind of verification process. As it stands, filing a Zendesk ticket means you can use any email, any Funcom ID.

No linking of accounts.

That starts right from purchasing the damn game on PC.

On console there’s management of accounts to a degree but they can make it seems infinite accounts?

Shouldn’t be allowed.

I agree with this 100%

This is true, but it’s also true that it’s worse now than ever.
I stopped playing the game, once because of combat changes, and once for personal reasons.

But I always came back to official PVP. Until this last time.
I tried to find some of my old characters, 5 servers I ran into hackers in less than 24 hours of being on those servers. I thought it was 6, but on one server I was mistaken and it wasn’t a hacker.

This is much worse than in the past, @Barnes and I and others stood up to cheaters, but they didn’t drive us away…

…Until now, I have stopped playing official pvp servers.

So now it appears that my clan mates and myself are now being “tracked” from server to server by the groups that have hackers. Apparently we are all on some kind of “list” they keep to quite literally stalk and harass players that gave them “trouble” (ie played the game and told them to f off lol) Our group split up to test this theory and our suspicions were correct. One group joined a populated server and my group joined a server that had less than ten players at raid time. Day two of my server a player by the name “Kittie” joins, level zero steam account, going on about knowing said hackers we were wiped by to another player in global. I log in today, all our loot gone, same deal as before, locked chests emptied, only thing not looted was thralls on benches.THAT WAS IT. So before we even got a chance we were hacker wiped by the same group. As I was looking through our base my other clan mates on the busier server said the same happened to them. This is not only ridiculous, but this is borderline harassment. We all paid good money to play this game and can’t. The same group that I’m speaking of runs a private server that they promote after everybody gets wiped trying to get players to come to his server. If people don’t come, the severity of the hacking, frequency, etc seems to be worse.

So here is a proposition that my mates came up with to maybe help solve this problem:

Instead of being able to bounce from server to server and keeping your character on each one, how about not allowing your character to remain on the server if you choose to go to another server. This would delete body vaults (something the hackers utilize the most), your recipes you have learned, gone, character reset to 0.

This would clear up the body vault issue, cause large “zerg” clans that like to wipe servers (usually running with hackers from my experience) and then bounce around to the next server to do the same thing again (they too also rely heavily on body vaults). This would slow their ability to do these things, deter the behavior, and give everybody a fighting chance on PvP officials.

Next thing would be limit the frequency of changing servers. So lets say, every 14 days you will be eligible to switch to a new server. Your character on your previous server will reset, and you will have to level on your new server. This also hinders hackers’ ability to bounce around server to server, as well as toxic zerg clans that run with these guys.

These are some ideas that we threw around to help alleviate this issue. If nothing is done, then I guess we are all done with this game sadly. I do not enjoy PvE or PvE-C, and privates are just as goofy as the hackers are.

I know Kittie. They’re not doing anything and don’t care about you.

You’re crossing too many wires here and thinking things are happening when they’re not. Yes, the server you’re talking about was hacked. No, the players you think have a pocket hacker are not tracking you.

Hackers might have body vaults but are not important anymore like when server transfers were active. They can’t sell the loot. Anyone can have a bodyvault - this doesn’t make you a hacker. The hacker that did what they did killed Kittie and stole their inventory.

If you want I can ask Kittie for their logs to show you who did it.

If you’re going to suggest changes at least have the correct information.

You do not know this kittie, this was a brand new account. They admitted in global and I have the screenshots of her admitting she runs with Doro A KNOWN HACKER. Tina Ballerina, aka Knuckledragger Nick, aka Beef, who has freely admitted he follows us, is also a friend of theirs…I don’t understand why you’re always so argumentative in every post I make about situations we are all dealing with that you have zero idea of what you’re talking about. Just like my last post about hackers on our server. You said it was server lag, turns out no, they were hacking…ffs.

This was a dead server we were going to play the new update on. In chat Kittie admitted to knowing known hacker group and their allies and threatening a solo. Next day (today) poof looted during non raid times. This is a new account btw, probably not the one you know.

The only cost effective way of cleaning up pvp servers that I can see would be to have active admins and the only way that is happening is if funcom charge people to use them. It may take time and it’s certainly frustrating but find a good private server. I’ve played on quite a few that were great with zero noticeable admin abuse. Downside being you’re going to find a lot of bad ones before you find a good one and even the good ones eventually shut down.

No private server can replicate pvp like officials when there is no hacking. Too many boost discoeds and admin friend rule changes mid war.

I do know Kittie, I was watching this as it went down. They don’t know who Doro is.

They logged in today after seeing Alias’ comment that I sent to them and saw who the hacker was based on their logs.

Well, then thay is lie. Thhe new hack leaves no evidence. Nothing shows in logs.

They don’t leave logs behind but this person killed Kittie and is a known hacker. I put 2 and 2 together.

There is no logs, these hackers loot without it showing on logs, something tells me you associate with some sketchy ppl and you’re information is sooooo wrong, I guess I need to bring the others up in here to get it through your head you have no clue what you’re saying.

Yhe hacker doesnt kill. They aren’t that dumb to leave evidence. Kittie was killed by someone else tyen. Probably the goodnole cover up.

They did though and found Kittie hiding. It was a dumb mistake.
