First off, I really like the Thrall assignment feature. However, the thralls are too close to the door. It is often difficult to pass though the door because a thrall has returned to the door crooked and requires moving.
Archers post. Often when trying to place a Thrall at the archers post there is no “ghost” to snap to. Then when it is, half the time the thrall either will not snap to the post, or there will be an error saying Overlapping object.
Taverns. I am really enjoying the new Tavern features. It really brings my base to life, I enjoy seeing thralls walking around. However when there are thralls sitting anywhere but the actual bar counter, they’re just kind of lifeless. it would be nice if they would interact with placeables or appear to talk to other thralls or something.
Musical Instruments. I think it would be really cool to be able to assign a performer to sit at a musical instrument that we place and play it.
And lastly, thrall limits suck, please don’t convert crafting thralls into placed thralls that count against your limit. If the idea behind this Is so we can change how our thralls look why not just adapt one of the mods that’s out there that lets you customize a thrall. you just put the thrall in the bench customize how it looks save it take it out and place it in the crafting station Of your choice.
I have found that if you put the bow in the thrall’s hands right before you move him to the archer’s post that he will usually have no problems going there.
I have also learned the hard way to make sure that a bow is the only weapon the thrall has. If he has a melee weapon in his inventory, he will sometimes draw it instead and become unattached to the archer posts. I’ve had a couple thralls stage dive into a mob of Purge enemies and die when this happens.
For what it’s worth, you can get them to place better by transferring their bow to your inventory and then immediately back to the thrall. You don’t even need to put it in their hands, just move it back-and-forth, then the ghost will show up and they’ll snap to it.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT place thralls on the War Drum or the War Horn. That will make you the most hated person on the server.
LOL!! Yeah, that would drive me batty too, but like the harp or that little flat thing with strings, cant think of the name, but it reminds me of Japanese music.
Im gonna put this out there. I to have also had issues in the past trying to move thralls to places with ghosts like doorways and archer posts. I discovered that if you are using mods that allow accessories on thralls that if the thrall has any accessories equipped the ghost will not show and you cannot place your thralls.
