If you’re on single player, turn off Living Settlements in Server Settings. That’s what’s most likely causing your crafters to vanish.
are they ever planning to fix this?
Well, Xbox never got the hot fix that pc and PlayStation received. Most likely failed certification. PlayStation is pretty much unplayable post hot fix, so I’d guess when the mid chapter update releases around late January or early February
These seem not to be a Xbox problem, as I have seen it happen a lot with the Living Settlements on. Mine the thralls do not “vanish”, they go somewhere (as in some where in the map seemingly random), which I cannot reach, but some do vanish entirely, which I think being ported somewhere and dying.
I turned off living settlements when it started, and the problem went away.
Not that my settlement needs any living, but it was fun until the problems started.
I’ve stopped keeping track of how many tier 4 named thralls I’ve lost. I want to say around a dozen but at least nine for sure that I can recall clearly. It’s getting really old.
And on the topic of thralls… could they maybe spend a little more time at the work stations and less time standing on the tables in my tavern?
maybe reflects Funcom work schedule ? loool!
(i could not resist)
disappearing thralls have to do with the database not caching their parked coords correctly. if the dev team was competent they would know this.
typically this would happen when the server is experiencing fidelity loss in data transfer where it searches the database for the active coordinates of each variable in the game and refresh as close to real time as possible without losing any data can become challenging if they are using methods to cut corners for speed rather than efficiency. i know speed and efficiency are similar in principle, but efficiency covers a broader span of more than just speed, but also applications of tactical foresight to be able to anticipate when a system breaks down and when it needs to be upgraded or maintained. Funcom outsources their servers to GPORTAL, so they arent really a reliable dev team to request fixes for these server fidelity losses since they can just defer all of their problems to the third party company and fein responsibility for it while the customers just keep giving them money to play the shiney features that do work in hopes that these working features outweigh the broken ones. They don’t. The xbox community on conan is pretty much dead in pvp for North American servers. There is maybe one active war server and the rest of just passing feuds of players chasing each other from server to server to spill more old blood over stupid reasons like item loss – like you guys get pissed when you lose items in conan exiles – like you could ever invest in the items to begin with in a game that is DESIGNED to DECAY and LOSE EVERYTHING. The game is a metaphorical tool for dealing with the pain of loss with a mature perspective and recognizing the true value comes with the glory of battle and the stories we share with our friends, not in the loot we gained. I’ve never raided a person and came back with better loot than I started. I have always had post-meta sensibilities, so I have never had to take from people to get ahead of them. To be able to gain without taking, to lose without evesting, these are principles of patience this game teaches people, and the lesson is squandered on retardation and lazy staff members. I’ve been using the xbox community to run social experiments on a very localized group of players for almost half a decade now working on the pvp dynamics that go beyond just pointless slaughter and more into diplomacy and meaningful gameplay. YES! I SAID IT! MEANINGFUL GAMEPLAY! IT EXISTS! You just need to consider why you are playing the game. are you buying the game to get loot, or to share an experience with a community? If you are buying a game to get loot there are a thousand dungeon crawlers you can select that just drop endless hordes of rewarding treasures. Far more rewarding than anything ever earned or destroyed in Conan. Anyway, for those of you who don’t know me yet; I’m Turtleheimer. I am an Anti on BarbarianTV meaning I refuse to play into their meta drama and sensibilities in favor of playing the game my own way – since the game is OPEN ENDED after all, it invites the CREATIVE to come and combine their talents to build something worth creating these stories and experiences over. and as far as raiding goes, I’ve had too much fun destroying bases to claim I have any right at all to be mad at anyone for blowing up one of my territories. Why? It’s part of the game. Some people will be civil and some will be savage, but the beauty of the game is that it gives you that option. And when you let this incompetant dev team butt in with empty promises and updates that break the game consistently, they take all of the pent up potential this game has and they take a shit on it in hopes they can get away with the same dirty sales formula for Dune.
Turtleheimer I’m on your side with pvp is pvp. Conan was a military expert, and he was a thief that spent his winnings at the tavern. Thanks for the tavern system so can we . However now the yellow energy bar doesn’t rise and is stuck at zero. You going to come raid and attack me now that it’s I can’t run or fight back . You talk a big talk but fix my issue 1st
