Thralls when Offline

Hi all! We have the Dynamic Building Damage setting turned on. Does that impact if Thralls will attack when another player when I am offline? We are on a private server and snuck into my friends base while he was offline but were not attacked by any of his thralls. He confirmed he had them all set to attack all with long distance. Furthermore, while in his base, he logged on and a nearby archer started shooting me. Is this all because of that setting?

In my experience with DBD on, your thralls will not engage hostiles when you’re offline past the grace period.
