This image does not do it justice. I should have taken an image at my camp which was worse.
After logging out and back into the server it was back to normal. My character was tilted by at least 15 degrees. No matter what the terrain does. The character should always stand vertical.
Could be one or more of your mods doing something silly. If I had to make a wild guess, I’d say one of your mods does some animation that doesn’t quite put your character upright again, so each time the animation is performed, your character gets just a little bit more lopsided.
It was just not the character. I should have taken an image of my base. The ceiling tiles were at about 30 degree pitch.
Granted. I am not saying that it might not be a mod, but it was more than just the character. The entire terrain was pitched sloping down to the right hand side of the character.
I play in Xbox and I have had this happen from time to time. No idea how it occurs and I’ve never been able to reproduce it intentionally. Honestly kind of thought maybe I was just going crazy.
Same here. Next time I need to take a screenshot of the building which really shows the tilt. I felt like I entered the lair of one of the Batman villains in the 60s Batman TV show.
I just learned that the camera technique is called Dutch Angle sometimes called Dutch Tilt.
I’ve had the exact same issue as well. I’m on PS5 and on an official PVE server, so I don’t believe this has anything to do with mods. Just like both of you, it fixes itself once I log out and back in. I’m not 100% positive, but I think this has happened to me a few times after I had been online for several hours. It is a very noticeable and messed up tilt!
Well that’s what I was getting at. If the world is always sloped down to the right side of your character, then it’s your character. Or more specifically, the camera which is tied to your character. I can see in that first screenshot that your character seems to be leaning as well. If an animation alters the camera position, then if it doesn’t put the camera back exactly where it was, it could cause this kind of problem.
But yeah, if it’s happening on consoles as well, then it points to an issue somewhere in the unmodded version.
Hmm. A thought just occurred to me. When this happens, does it stay tilted if you switch to first person and then back to third again?
