Topic closed with good feedback

I do not understand why topic was closed if community was providing good feedback. I guess players replied to admins to much? Lol They should at least share the future rule structure or ideas they are approaching.

I would’ve expected a quick comment along the lines of “closing for X, Y, and Z reasons” before it got closed. Right now, it could be anything. Maybe they think there was too much “forum PVP” going on. Maybe they have enough feedback to proceed. Maybe they just got way too many notifications from all the @-mentions all the time. No idea.

Whatever the reason, unless it was some kind of a mistake, doing it this way sends a pretty strong message.

Other than that I made you a question there, can you please explain to me, if you can, even in private message. Thanks in advance for it.
Plus once again I will thank the @Community for their participation in the thread and I will ask them to forgive me if I did a lot of off topic posts.

Can always do a “Landclaim abuse: part 2” XD if you feel anymore needs to be said.

I feel the thread mostly ran its course though, it only disappoints me when derailment gets often the best threads shut down, then they start mass flagging for no reason whatsoever.

and some people on some subjects do it on purpose 100%.

The topic was closed because the discussion was veering off topic. We got great feedback from this thread over the last week. We appreciate those who contributed to the topic of the thread. We will be discussing the various concerns brought forth by the community.

Well so much for that reply. I think what it boils down to is there are those that can’t stay on topic and love squirrelling (like me) and those that can’t stop but bring up specific bans which was expressly verbotten.

To be fair to the admins, that original thread is 420 (blaze it!)* posts long. That’s a lot of feedback to sift through.

*I’ll see myself out.

Well we should be happy we did get SOME information out of them. I personally feel much better about my builds knowing what I know now.
I also split my clan up, as there really is NO point anymore in being in a clan on any non full PVP server.

Fingers crossed, mate. Fingers crossed

I do want to note my appreciation for the significant forum minder participation on that thread. While the signal to noise ratio did get bad at times, the messages that did come through were useful.

That said, I’m more than mildly concerned at the new forum PvP meta of using off topic spam to shut down an unwanted opinion or discussion point.

This.
But let us face reality, the CS reps were looking for any excuse to run from that thread. The questions became too difficult, the criticism too much to bear for them.
Cudos to @Ulyssi for really trying to keep the thread from derailing, but in the face of the off topic spammers who hate being wrong, it was too much, unfortunately.

tbh I split up my clan on a pvp server, it makes more sense given we operate on our home server under the guise of a friendly server, so two peaceful clans  but we also get to split assets better, its only when we go raiding on a foreign server we unite clans.

I’m not entirely certain about the CS rep motivations.
As it’s a hat (for a different company) that I have worn before, there is often a distinct limit on the information that the community teams have. Sometimes the reason we get no answers is significantly farther upstream than the public facing representative. Messengers should not be blamed for the content (or lack thereof) of their messages.
I do not believe those who moderate the threads here are also the ones who make policy and enforcement decisions in game. However, I am wrong at least as often as not.

Complicating the matter seems to be the way in which the forums are structured. The flag system is curious to me. Many posts are flagged for reasons utterly beyound my kenning. Not that I’m not omniscient, but I like to think I’m not far behind average when it comes to figuring systems out. Further, it seems to me we see more thread closures and fewer targeted disciplinary acts. Having spent a little time as government property, I am very familiar with collective punishment, even if it rankles my deep fried 'Murikan heart.

But at this point I’m just ruminating rather than adding anything new.

TLDR; Not enough data for me to be comfortable with assigning justification. The ways of this forum seem to target the thread rather than poster with the ban hammer, but my sample group is limited here as well.

The fact that we have never seen an actual CS post on these forums, and the Forum Mods have done a great job of trying to keep up, but obviously have been kept in the dark, says volumes about FC’s motivations.
I actually mocked the first post of the CSM and it was immediately deleted, as it was from a CS and was the “first time” he had posted. Yes, five years of Funcom ignoring us, and all of a sudden a real live CSM has something to say, shocking.
I am going to go out on a limb and say that since Tencent took over, it has been nothing but censorship, in your face management decisions, and the PRC sheep mentality.
Funcom surrendered to, and is now controlled by the PRC and Emperor Xi.
Flag me please.

I can assure you with reasonable confidence that if this game were PRC compliant, the full nudity (as well as most outfits more revealing than Godbreaker Armour) would be gone.

Where is the half smile sorta joking emote?

You and I have a lot in common, so I think you might/should be able to read between the lines. In that thread, please look for the cat: not only is this the best Sherpa in the game, but the actual structure and impetus of the Board phalanx. Old school, human-sourced intel, platoon-style curation.

When you’re a sleazy player with time on his hands and you actually get knee-deep in someone else’s software, you become intimate with it. After all my years of doing stuff with machines I do firmly believe there is a digital mantra and an innate entry point for humans who can simply listen. When you get into someone’s software and exploit it by using the ware rather than hacking it, first you must figure out where it’s loose and spongy. Then you can exploit it.

As you might be aware I’m a fan of Professional Wrestling for all the right reasons. Recently I made a heel turn (one I announced to only one person) for the purpose of testing this Board’s pliability. There is some element of machine learning at play, and I believe my behavior and responses have proved there is a serious glitch here.
