Transportory stone, Circle of Power and Thralls dont work at higher places in the Volcano

Bug Reproduction:

I think it happened after one of the newer patches couple weeks ago, but no fix yet so I’m posting. Transportory stone and circle of Power dont work anymore in my base which is located higher up in the Volcano, I cant put down thralls either. To recreate it, build a base higher up in the volcano around F15 area

you can also ingame type on left shit + left alt + L to have world coordinate to allow to any dev to teleport directly to the given location.
can be usefull to add to your report.

Yo hello. I reported this bug THREE WEEKS AGO. Nothing has been done. This is on OFFICIAL PVP SERVER.

The area is literally the entire volcano and the plateaus outside of it. It should be extremely easy to find if you had a single person doing any testing.

This is also related to thrall bugs, where thralls get stuck, wont move and wont teleport to the player while within the affected area (which is most of the north and the entire volcano). The area where thralls get stuck is the exact same as where sorcery benches cannot work. Obviously connected, and extremely easy to test. All you have to do is try to order a thrall to move to a spot. If you get “follower cannot reach target location” you are within the affected area.

ps. I have to assume this may have been an attempt to finally disable flybases, but it didn’t work. All you did was make thralls and sorcery benches stop functioning ON THE GROUND.

Here is my logfile.
I started the game and apart from moving and opening doors, did only the following:
tried to use shallow grave ritual once (error: too far away)
tried to use circle of power ritual once (error: too far away)
tried to ignite transportory stone once; (error: too far away)
Ordered a thrall thats sunk into the floor to follow me (doesnt move)
Tried to order that thrall to move couple times (error: cannot reach that location)
Then tried to “place and guard” that thrall (error: must be placed on walkable floor)
Ordered the thrall to stop following and then shut the game.

I have the same problem with Thralls and the Transportory Stone, but in another place, still in the mountains. I play only solo/coop :

When I want to activate the transportory stone here, I have an error message : “you are too far away”…
In addition the Thralls cannot be placed in my base, have an error message “the ground is invalid” or something like that and they sometimes have difficulty following me there. However I didn’t have any problems before the last Age of War 2 update.

Same problem here in B13. Can’t ignite my Transportory Stone, can’t place my thrall (he just stops working up here).

Also to east of Path of Pilgrim is broken, hell close to half the map doesn’t even work right anymore…

Same issue on Xbox Series X. Ended up tearing down my base at H-11 because of the entire area being rendered unusable thanks to that utterly useless update at the start of October.

This problem is also at the top of most trees in the jungle. This seems to happen everywhere on the map after a certain height

I also seem to have this problem. Pretty much anywhere higher than the Temple of Frost my Followers stop following and I can’t activate Transportory stones. Thralls will rubberband to me after I cross that distance threshold, but won’t follow, attack or move to a location.

And some weird behavior on the way to “the floe” entrance to the volcano from the icy slopes. Some of my thralls would run back down hill after teleporting to me. Almost like there was something to attack, but then they’d just stop at the foot of the mountain.

Once I’m in the Volcano, they teleport to me and just stand there. Refusing to move or attack anything. I can move the horse around, but that’s it. Won’t follow me when I dismount.

Edit: Its not just my thralls. Even enemies and wildlife won’t move or do anything.

It all seems to point in the same direction in my opinion. There is something wrong in the underlying map grid or whatever it is that characters actually walk on.

Because it doesn’t work, the game can’t figure out a route for the character from place A to place B within the problematic area.

The sorcery benches won’t work, because they involve the character walking to a place and doing an animation. Since the ground is not a walkable area, they cant move to the correct spot to do the associated animation.

Thralls get stuck cause their route-finding algorithm doesnt work in this area. You mentioned your thralls running back, probably because they were trying to find a route to where you were.

You can’t place thralls, because the game determines the ground is not “walkable area”.

And this is somehow related to altitude in the exiled lands. It happens on all areas that are at high enough altitude.

The fact that the devs have been really quiet about this, kind of tells me that they tried to implement something to counter flybases… only it didn’t work and instead messed things up. I really hope they can come up with an actual working solution that doesn’t invalidate large swathes of the map for regular gameplay.
