Trees do not render with correct detail in certain areas of the jungle

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Graphics
Game Mode: Single Player
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: None
Mods: None

Bug Description:

The level of detail on trees in the jungle biome looks like cardboard cutouts, but only on specific islands. Other trees at similar distances render with better detail. This occurs regardless of graphics settings, it can be set to Ultra, High, etc. and the appearance is substantially the same.

The first image included shows the effect, the second shows trees at a similar distance in the immediate area.

Bug Reproduction:

Travel to the jungle around O-7 and take a look.

My guess is that for whatever reason, those particular tree assets (that style of tree) has LOD settings where you have to practically move on top of them for them to render in high detail.

Well it looks like the main difference is foliage vs static mesh, and then foliage palm vs swamptree. The static mesh trees will appear better further away and the foliage (harvestable) are instanced to load easier at the cost of visuals from afar. Since they are smaller, usually this is not a big deal because the sightlines are usually obscured but in your pic at that spot, its more jarring because of the long view distance. Palm trees for foliage probably have a different LOD setting as you point out, and that could be intentional or accidental; probably intentional because they may look more like crud if done the less intensive way.
