I’ve tried multiple Blacksmith benches now, And i’m stuck on this journey step because it’s bugged and not updating.
Update: You have to craft it and then remove it from the workbench. WTF?
Some journey steps are a bit messed up.
Some took me several attempts, like assigning a crafter thrall to a crafting bench, but I eventually managed.
BY THE WAY @Community , drying wood doesn’t produce tar, like the journey step says. 
It produces dry wood and RESIN. If you haven’t corrected it already in the next patch, you might want to consider it.
I really love what they did with the journey steps, though. It was a great improvement and it teaches the game fairly well.
Yep. Some journey steps specifically tell you to pick up the created item from the bench, but not all. This was seriously confusing at first.
And some journeys steps actually complete when you create the item, without the need to pick it up. Inconsistent. And few things annoy me more than inconsistency.
