Unable to use Character Transfer on any server, under any conditions

Bug Description:

I cannot perform a character transfer (specifically, the first step of Exporting the character from his home server) on any PvE or PvP server that I’ve tried. This includes, but is not limited to, Official Servers #6440, #6102, #6101, #6109, #1584 and #1540. The error I receive is always the same, ExportFailed, and this is regardless of whether my backpack/hotbar/armor/weapon slots are empty or not.

Expected Behavior:

I expect the character export to work.

Steps to Reproduce:

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Either pick up the items I want to take with me, or completely empty my inventory and all armor/hotbar slots.
  2. Hit ESC, click Character Transfer, and try to export (after typing the TRANSFER confirmation)
  3. Get ExportFailed error message.

Bump because I still can’t complete a successful character export on any server and would really like to be able to do so.

Are you in a clan? If so, are you the clan leader?

I just do it on official pvp. EL to EL.

  • recreate your character on the target server to delete the previous one.
  • transfert at 99% encumbrance, and without thralls.

No, dropped clan on two of the servers I tried to export from, it made no difference.

Like I stated in the original post, I’ve tried it with a completely empty inventory. Target server is irrelevant because I can’t Export from any server, I haven’t even gotten to trying to import.

Hi @Vakisari

Have you managed to transfer any characters or is this the first time/character you are trying to transfer?
Also can you please provide us with a screenshot of the error you are seeing?

Welp, something changed and suddenly I was able to execute a transfer I’ve been trying to do for over a week. Thanks for the response anyway!
