Unreal Engine 5 early access has been released

Yeah okay, I have no problem with that too. And yes, I also downloaded the engine + demo (after my post) and I can clearly see it as a stress test. 50 FPS with my RTX 3090 is definitely too low. (Disk space is also no problem, I have 2.5 TB M.2 SSD storage in my PC and 500Mbit internet. So pretty much equipped for next gen games.)

I was more thinking about the people with average PCs. If you look at the average Steam PC:

I believe though once we overcome the current scalper situation those values will change. And if the engine releases in 2022, then they first need to make games with it. This will take at least another year. And by then next gen PC parts will be available (I hope).

Alot of people have migrated towards consoles, because they are cheap and some say, outperforming a PC in the same price range. Game developers no longer use steam user data to build their games, performance wise. The PS5/Xbox X has become the new standard.
