Sorry, Wak may be your youtube hero, but watching him fight, I was totally unimpressed. Not only by his usage of knives on the undead, but the fact that he kept taking hits instead of dodging, never really blocked when he had a shield, and I personally think he is on a private server with a lower mitigated damage setting.

It was a bit weird, but I got the impression that it was the gameplay equivalent of twiddling your thumbs

Funcom can, as always, do the numbers and decide whether they want to adjust anything. In this case I’d be very surprised if they do change anything, but still.

I really think we should wait and see how FC handles this. The fact that you may never get another chance at a BP item does not bother me so much, as I have never had the sword of Crom, and even though I do have the armor from early access, I rarely use it, since it is very sub par compared to other armor, and just “having it” is really not a trigger for me.

I will never forget when camels first came out, and you met me by Kaels stronghold and gave me mats I needed. I thought it was so cute, you having that camel in tow. I really miss you, and was deeply saddened when you left the server.

So many reasons it would be so fun to play together . Hoping one day it will happen my friend and you’ll never spend a day more without having something, I will put toothpicks on my eyes until you’ll get what you wish . Wak is a good fighter, a pretty good one actually. He is just a man… What I mean is simple. We, the men are not women. We can do one thing at the time good, women on the other hand are way better in this part, you can do ten things at once flawlessly. If a man plays and talk, his gaming is sloppy. A friend of mine was cooking, preparing the table, talking to me, writing messages and playing at the same time, I didn’t understand that she was doing all these things at the time we were playing, but she did. In this part women are awesome and it’s true.

I’m no hero, just a guy that plays games and posts videos to YouTube. I play the way I want to and sometimes that means I’m not dealing the maximum amount of damage. In a way because I don’t need to.

I dislike the blocking mechanic in Conan Exiles, I don’t feel like it’s really beneficial.

I apologize if I have given offense about this, I do understand that the game itself is that easy, that you can basically use any weapon against a three skull mob and still win, and was just kind of amazed that someone of your stature and reputation performed in a very mediocre manner. It was obvious in your video that you never felt that you were threatened in any way, and were just performing.

No amount of making a thing easy in a limited time removes the fact that it is limited time. That foot shuffle sounded less like an actual response than the packaged marketing talking point.

No new information really. Mostly questions that let Den repeat what was already said in the stream or hit a wider audience with clarifications rendered elsewhere, which is always good.
Nothing makes a conversation stale like a repeat ad nauseam cycle.
The stream was very long and annoying to dig through, so having it compartmentalized is useful.

Thems fighting words. My go2 is shield and variable one handed weapon…(current rotation is voidforge gladius, annoying shard, or anc. Lem. Axe). I may switch it up some when the attribute bonuses go away (shield is another piece that can buff you character)

Thanks for posting about and linking the video. I’ll clear a few things up here.

The purpose of the video was to give a clear and concise view of what is coming in update 3.0 as it pertains to the battle pass and a store. Now you don’t have to watch a 2 hour livestream to find the info and maybe miss it.

The questions were provided to Funcom ahead of schedule so that they could prepare. They are Devs not celebrities or people who normally engage in content made for multitudes of people.

The fighting footage is B Roll because I didn’t think people would enjoy a loop of the short clips showing the battle pass and store from the trailer and the livestream.

I kept my opinion out of it. Mainly because I felt it would muddy the purpose of the video and because I honestly don’t know if I will like the battle pass and store yet. I can’t say until I actually get it in game.

I’ve enjoyed reading the back and forth I find it very important to see and hear everyone’s opinions. I also won’t judge you for those opinions. It’s important that everyone decide on whats right for them.

I have to agree, as I said before, it seemed scripted, and did not really cover the concerns people have raised. The DLC question was mute, since nobody but a rare few really thought it was a concern.
The fact that Den actually verified the use it or lose it BP items question shows that FC wants people to actually play the game vs just logging in/refreshing/logging out. I like that.

Participate in an Event has my attention.
Tell me more about these “Events”.

Until I know more about them…
They at least sound more interesting than other options.

Given how well events went last time, I am glad they are going to have a significant testlive period.

Enough doom speaking. Even if everything isn’t exactly as I prefer, there’s still a lot of included content to be excited about.
Also, the goal of keeping the core game updates with real meat as opposed to the paid garnish is a worthy one.

I need to be challenged, I need to engage and be afraid of failure. I have actually loved past events as it has given me purpose and a reason to play beyond the refresh script.

Agreed, that also struct me (no doubt because it’s my main point of contention), but it felt a bit like a politician’s response.

While I am at opposing odds with the “use it or lose it” perception, I do feel that I would be required to play the game to have access to the BP items. Is this a marketing ploy to force me to participate? Do I lose money to do this? Do I lose “time” to do this this?

The bottom line is that I choose to do this or not. I have yet to receive an email from FC threatening me to play the game or else. I stand by my “free will” vision of the game.
