We must respond appropriately to Funcom

Hello, console exiles,

We must unite in this effort, regardless of whether you are on Xbox or PlayStation. In response to this lack of respect, we should uninstall the game from our consoles. Those who rent servers should discontinue doing so. Do not give the company another cent. For those considering purchasing what has proven to be a failure on PC, Dune for consoles, I strongly advise against it. If it did not succeed on PC, they will likely attempt to push it onto us. Do not consume any further products from Funcom.

The PC community will continue their journey and enjoy this new phase, but we, as console players, cannot simply bow our heads and accept this in silence.

Allow me to give my own example: I have over 3,750 hours on PlayStation and have purchased expansions, DLCs, and more. Many players are in the same situation. The company often speaks about unification between PC and console communities, yet their actions suggest otherwise. I do not believe PC players are undeserving of updates, nor am I ignorant of the fact that development for PC is easier. There is even a community of modders producing remarkable content—new maps, engaging features—often surpassing the company’s own work.

With this PC release, I feel as though I contributed to a gathering—bringing the food and drinks—only to be excluded from participating. Funcom has stated, somewhat diplomatically, that there are no current plans for consoles, perhaps in the future. It is always the same empty rhetoric.

On PlayStation, a nearly 100GB update was released that addressed little beyond server crashes related to golem production. Meanwhile, golems remain immortal, and nothing else of significance has been improved. Floating bases, structures embedded in terrain or trees, and numerous bugs persist. The inventory system remains broken, and enemies knocked out with a truncheon still fall endlessly through the ground.

I have played since launch and have had many enjoyable moments, but I must admit that I no longer believe Funcom is competent enough to resolve these issues. To this day, clans continue to litter the map with excessive and random constructions, and no action is taken.

We have not received any meaningful upgrade for the PlayStation 5. We are still running a poor version of the game, which suffers from lag, freezes, and visual bugs even on modern hardware.

Respect your players. Console users were merely a stepping stone toward delivering something greater for PC. We contributed, yet we are excluded from benefiting from the game’s evolution. It has even been stated that the game will no longer receive meaningful updates—only minor fixes. A full year has passed in this so-called “age of fixes,” and very little has actually been resolved.

This is a clear disregard for the console community. There is no crossplay between consoles, no improvements to server capacity—which is already in decline—and PvP conflicts have devolved into whoever exploits glitches more effectively. Many players have already left because of this, and those who remain are not being respected.

Let this message reach every corner of the world.

I apologize for the length of this message. I have nothing against PC players—quite the opposite. I see them as fellow gamers, just like us. All of us deserve respect and equal attention.

Empty promises, spoken without action, hold no value.

Warm regards,
and I hope we meet again in another game.

Look .

I will uninstall on May fourth, i said it and i’ll do it . I know that my uninstall won’t hurt anything and it will mean nothing. Like we say in our country “a swallow does not bring spring”. Regardless i will uninstall because i want to protest my own way.

That’s all from me, i don’t follow patterns yet i don’t also judge, you can do you .

Well said.

My own experience as SinglePlayer on PS5, which is apparently the worst possible scenario, is much worse than yours. I’ve given the game 3 chances over a longer period with 1-2 updates between them. 2 attempts on Exiles Lands, 1 on Isle of Siptah.

I wasn’t able to play longer than two weeks in each attempt. First crash (on IoS it took 3 crashes, wohoo) and everything is screwed and broken: all attribute points reset leaving me with just one available, although my level 60 still remained. All things on the map gone, all jorney progress reset, a bunch of thralls, structures, inventory gone, some thralls duplicated or changed gender out of the sudden.

How something like this is even allowed to be sold on PlayStation store, without any warning that at least SinglePlayer mode is unplayable, is beyond me.

But sure, as funding source console players are good enough.

So in my case the game is already uninstalled for a while and Funcom will never see a cent from me again, but I fear the “protest” won’t change anything. Ideally we should achieve, that this game is removed from the Playstation store at least, but that’s a fight against windmills.

On the contrary, I feel that the console player base SHOWING UP, and showing out will send a stronger message. If they see our numbers active and online, even moreso now than before, it might be more of a draw than eliminating ourselves so that financially they have an excuse down the road to say this is why we can’t put the resources into supporting you

Yes, we are conformist suckers who accept everything quietly and submissively.
