Weather change since post-halloween patch - way brighter/foggier
Since the post halloween patch, of course ther sun is back, but it looks to me like the whole world, and weather is brighter. Especially long the river, the jungle-fog is omnipresent, and the weather is way brighter than before.
In most desert regions, and around the oasis, the same problem happens.
I like shoot pictures, so i see the difference between before and now after patch.
I don’t like fiddle with gamma’s, i’m a builder, and picture shooter mostly. So no, i didn’t change my gamma’s during the halloween-event. I enjoyed it 2 days, then switched to testlive. But like you can see in the posted link, i’m not the only person making the same observations.
I recall that roughly halfway through the Halloween event, they pushed out a patch that made the nights slightly less dark & more vivid. It’s possible that that backend change was never undone.
The New Lighting settings Suck to put it simply … I had to turn Down my Gamma setting from default to 1.5 and it still looks crappy.
Before the Halloween Update … I had a Great looking game and Now I don’t hardly play since last UPDATE because … I Just Don’t Like how the Game Looks.
Just my Thoughts on the subject and a few others.
It does seem brighter in some areas, but at night near the mounds area and Asgard when it’s night and at all cloudy, it’s pitch black so don’t want any change to that. Night should be dark. The desert at night though seems like late afternoon even in the darkest hours, it should be way darker there.
i agree for dark nights, ok, not pitch black, a good middle way !
But i’m more speaking about the day-time than the nights here in particular. Especially the fog is more present along the rivers, around the oasis some times to. And the day is more brighter, less colorfull.
For me more a feeling, a whole thing. Would be interesting to take a look at before event, then after event, shaders and all, what they changed.
