Well....crap Thrall plans completely undone

Ill be checking Pets too over the coming months. Thanks for the info.

Hyenas always had good armor!
Too bad their AI/pathing during combat is still broken and often they get stuck not attacking.

Also, I’ll post it here as well in case anyone’s interested.
I just made a spreadsheet with the damage multipliers of all thralls atm.

Finally…

Tbf I have a berserker with 84 strength, you need to work hard to outdmg her.
Not sure if it’s even possible without being corrupted

@Lole
The only thrall that reached that high it was from a @JJDancer reference in my eyes. All these years I never had a thrall like it and trust me I trained thousands!!!
Just to understand the rng of this game…

I haven’t seen this almost 3 years now and I killed hundreds of (2) bosses that may drop it

Bearers are quite mad as Tanks now… I’ve got a lvl 3 Bearer and levelled him to 18 lvl. He has somewhat 4000+ HP, near to 5000. I have the last perk in Authority. When I take him on follow he gets 9900 HP. My Accursed Berserker gets some extra HP as well, but much much less. So if you are the main DD those Bearers will be the best choice. They can carry your loot as well

I have a couple named ones from surges! They have about 7k hp but the best part is that they don’t feel! So definitely for the player that wants to play without authority and beast, named bearers are the solution!

Are Bearer III’s still better than named’s for pure HP or was this fixed?

IDK 'cause I’ve got only one T3 and no named yet. It’s IoS, I get them from the cage in one Exile camp (and I’m too lazy to admin-spawn any to check :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Same, plus any Bearer IIIs get to ā€˜volunteer’ their packs for those sweet sweet alch bases

Might add that to the spreadsheet when I’m bored :stuck_out_tongue: was thinking starting HP and HP/vit point would be nice to see there idk

Do we know anything about the pets? I know Brutus (IoS), Sabertooths and Wolves were decent pre-update (not good, mind you, just decent). I wonder if it still holds up after the changes

Edit: Meant to say this too: FANTASTIC work @Xevyr. Thank you for making that

The pets are actually listed in that sheet as well, including Brutus, however for them the multiplier doesn’t mean much since they each have various base damage so it’s not dependent on the weapon, meaning that the multipliers from two different pets can’t be compared and it’s merely a way of reducing damage (pretty much all are below 1) from the wild counterpart at level 0, that you can rebuild very fast with some strength.
I’ll see what I can find though, but as far as I know they haven’t been touched in the update and their damage is the same as before, the only exception being that they’re passively affected by the armor formula change which made them more squishy and on PvP servers Funcom set the Thrall damage to Players only to 50% so that applies to pets too, in PvE they do the same as before.

Thanks!

I probably should’ve scrolled a bit more, huh? Looks like pets all have a .35 multiplier except for the summoned demons which sit at .525. Of course, as you said, these are multipliers of their base damage so finding out which pets would be decent in a PVP setting would be a bit difficult

Alright, updated the spreadsheet with some more stuff, removed pets altogether and some of the other clutter as they make no sense on that list (not even their health can be displayed since the link to the monstertable is established through a blueprint so I’d have to manually enter each value and their damage actually comes from hidden ā€œitemsā€ that are yet again linked directly into the blueprint so not possible to automatically calculate just from data exports, would require to make a full mod for that

Tier 3 Lvl 15

Named lvl 20

But! Both of them lvl up extremely fast, still the named does not feel the damage, hits better and the inventory is huge. So named is your goal.
In another server I hit better stats and he went 7k hp. I can roll the stats and go further, but I don’t care that much you know, so I leave him be.

The thrall update did hurt quite a bit.
With a stat row being deleted, a stat row being added at 0, and the function of a stat rowing being changed it rendered many previous employees early retirement fodder.
Annoying.

Equally annoying was the seemingly whimsical change in what gear buffs.
One might imagine gear that previously gave an Accuracy bonus would now grant Agility…
One would be wrong. Very little rhyme or reason.
Worst off all, some gear that would have intuitive bonuses didn’t get modded.
Slaver armour should probably give either Concussion Damage or Followed Damage, likewise Overseer armour…
And yet…

So large amounts of gear get removed, everyone wears Cimmerian Mail now because hp are nerfed enough that it’s the only viable option if one doesn’t want to be harvesting their staff’s corpses after a purge.
At least it can be illusioned.

LOL! constantly getting mugged outside Sep…local authorities should look into that…

Not bad at all- i got a named bearer in the wings too

The sheet I posted answers that question as well
But here, I’ll help you. So T3 bearers have way less starting vitality, but way more health gain / vitality however the difference early on simply resulting from the huge starting vitality of named bearers will mean named ones will have way more HP at start (almost double)

Because of the larger gain per vitality point for T3s though, they will be catching up with each point of vitality they gain. Based on the big spread-sheet I made this tiny one just to simulate this :stuck_out_tongue: Now this is assuming that they gain 1 vitality per level, however they can gain 2 per level as well, so they have a chance to catch up much faster in reality / or much slower if the named one gains the double points and they don’t gain any :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering they’re still fairly close around level 15 and each of them can definitely get crazy amounts of health, but the T4 one still has 5 more inventory slots, I’d go with that, though I have both atm ingame.
