Mine is built with this in mind. I definitely care way more about my 20 level 20 thralls guarding it.

I meant only what I wrote: not the base, but one foundation for the coffer.
Building a base will lose its meaning if catapults destroy it.
They should. The concern with this is obviously the thrall cap. Hopefully Funcom takes the thrall cap into consideration when doing this.
On that note:
Any chance we can add the option to buy additional thrall space? I for one would definitely pay for that option.

Theres definitely a market for it. Plenty of solo players on Official who would buy additional thrall space. I for one am one of those people.

Not sure how it would impact PvP, I was only thinking about PvE.
On official servers I think players would absolutely pay for increased thralls. Right now the only way is to have a clan. Give single players on Official a pay option to increase thrall pop.

I can make that happen for you. I’ll even put Official in the title of the server if you have a group willing to pay for the effort.
If you play on official you should know how bad the performance is.
Building pieces don’t cause as much lag as many people think. But inventories of chests and crafting stations cause a lot of lag. Thralls and pets can also cause lag.
On most official PvE servers the entire map is covered with buildings loaded with chests and followers.
Nevermind all the bugs and broken mechanics the game already has and didn’t get fixed for years.
And now you want to have even more followers?
If you don’t see how damaging this would be, idk what to tell you.
Some other guy somewhere in this forum seriously suggested, thralls gear should lose durability too.

Nah I’am good. I’d have to rebuild everything and retrain all my thralls. Not to mention the amount of real life time I spent lining up all my chests and organizing everything. I’ll pass.

There do not seem to be any in game interactions that toggle out of game restrictions.
Access to the admin panel, so to speak, doesn’t seem a thing easily done via in game transaction.
However, this one does actually think a system not unlike the tavern, where one has a master at arms or designated taskmaster who upgrades the thrall pot which would set in game follower limit is good.
Not certain how far it should go for the concerns about server performance already mentioned, but as a thing that one invests in game currency in to increase protection, that’s not bad at all.
The banners from the Sellsword are something of a temporary work around, but how they interact with PvP this one knows not. One challenge is keeping in mind that any change to the game, will impact both modes. This is, unfortunate, and this one would prefer separate defaults for PvE, PvE-C, and PvP servers but that’s it the reality we are working with on officials.
Who knows maybe it would be better to separate them.
But FC would have to split their resources too, and for me it looks like they have “some struggle” already.
The easier way would probably be to put more thoughts into their updates.
Remember the discussion about siege elephants and dragons and all that stuff?

When crafters become world thralls we probably get more thrall slots in general.

I’d run more purges. I play strictly on IoS and love that we get EL Bearers and Archers via the purge. Would like to have a few more of both.
