2 very important questions

Hello, I wanted to know two questions; The first is how long you can have a construction built without having to enter the game and the second question is if the same thing has happened to you that the game has a bug in which when you leave and re-enter the game the character appears completely naked without clothes

I would appreciate it if you could answer these two questions for me, thank you very much.

Well, usually you have 7 days before your base will decay.
But it depends on how big the base is, a 4x4 will decay faster than a 6x6 etc.
With 7 days the max amount of time you can go without logging it to refresh
However sometimes like during holidays this time is increased to two weeks.
You can check the timer with a repair hammer, just equip it and hover over part of a building.

The second question is complicated, your character stays in the world even if you’re logged out.
it just looks like you’re unconscious to other players, and if you’re playing on a PVP server other players can and will rob and or kill you and leave you naked.

Also if you’re in an area where weather is a factor, your character can die from heat or cold.

We need more information to guess exactly what happened, did you log in at the desert? or near a bed or bed roll? then your character probably died while you were off line.

Check your event log located under “server” when you hit the esc key. it will tell you what happened.

Depends in a couple of things.
First of all welcome to the forum exile.
You can check your own, fix a repair hammer and go close to any building piece, it will tell you exactly how many hours you have until it starts to decay

On the example above you see 240 hours that means 10 days. After these ten days your thralls are decayed and a 24 timer starts counting. Any player of the server will be able to destroy just one building piece of your base and “poof” everything will disappear…magic! You whole loot will turn in to gigantic lootbags that the one who destroy it can loot, not a pleasant thing i know, but this is how it works.
Now 240 hours is for an amount of building pieces and higher.
If you have a really small outpost with tier 1 building pieces it decays faster. So having with you a wooden repair hammer will help you know how much time you have until it decays.
Then again, to refresh your timers to all your builds, if you fix many, you have to visit them. Just logging in the server is not enough.

For how long?
For example, i see nothing in my inventory for some seconds even if i have a lot. The game delays a bit to load all the information. But it’s ok. Bugs of these types are really common in this game, you’ll get used to them. I wish i could tell you different, but it would be a lie. Let’s hope all these little annoying bugs will be our only problems in this game.
Welcome to the forum m8, nice to have you around.

It turns out that it is when I stop playing, at the beginning of the game, I create a sandstone construction in just a few hours and I lock the character in a room sealed by a door, I leave it in the backpack inside that room and I disconnect from the game, The next day I log in again and I find the character in the same place but completely naked, the server I was playing on was PvE with limited time invasions I think or something like that, it was not a completely PvP people server, on Steam that is Where I have the game, many complain in the comments about the bugs and I have seen in the news on that platform that they have fixed quite a few things but I don’t know if this is still the same. Has this happened to anyone else? By the way, I found the construction just as I had left it, there were no demolitions or anything like that.

There are no back packs… save when you drop/disgard items, which look like a Sack. Which will go poof. (as there dropped items)

You gotta use proper storage like Wooden Chests, Large Chest Etc.

Another question for more detail: Is the server you’re playing on a public (ie. Funcom-owned) or a private (ie. player-owned) one? If it’s a private server, is it modded?

It’s also worth mentioning that it’s possible (due to how the 3d modeling is done) to “see” through walls, doors etc. by getting very close to them, and interact through them - so someone else may have stolen your stuff if you’ve logged out close to the wall or door. Windows in your building also allow interaction through it.

We’re still not sure if it’s something caused by
a) a bug
b) an intended feature (that maybe someone else misuses)
c) a cheating player.

Any details you can provide will help us narrow down the possibilities.
