A cheater or hacker exploited a bug to take many of my followers’ equipment and repeatedly stole the gear from my character. They even stripped away my original skills and reset my max-level spells.
Now, although the Bat Flight spell and Ice Bridge magic still function properly, the ritual menu in the Circle of Power no longer includes the option to summon my own corpse (for retrieving items). The ritual menu at the Sacrificial Stone is completely empty, and the options for collecting blood, blood vials, and soul vials for crafting are all gone.
At the Mage’s Path cave’s thaumaturgy bench, I can only obtain The Book of Kulak. At home, the thaumaturgy bench only has the research magic page, with no options for spell upgrades or crafting.

Unfortunately, I neither have nor am able to directly capture evidence of players engaging in misconduct, as I only notice these issues after logging into the game. For example, I have logged in to find that several of my thralls’ equipment had disappeared, or that my character’s skills had been reset. However, you might be able to identify some issues and find clues through server logs.
My character had learned all in-game languages a long time ago, acquired many fragments of power, and studied all special skills—such as the fast vertical elevator and fast horizontal elevator—in the library of the Nameless City. However, when I logged in last month, I suddenly discovered that my character’s skills had been reset.
I can also provide screenshots of the current issue. The spellcasting option for the Summon Corpse ritual on the right side of the Circle of Power has disappeared.
Now, even if I go to the spell cave, I can only pick up the Tome of Kurak, but it will not restart spell learning or upgrades. Additionally, the Sorcery Bench (Spell Research Table) at my home does not have an option to upgrade spells again in the menu on the right side.
There are definitely “players” out there with admin-style powers that come to Conan Exiles PVP servers are wreak all kinds of havoc and then disappear. I am amazed by this kind of hack (changing and resetting skill points of the victim), but the kind where they just wipe your well-fortified, well planned base singlehandedly in one night and then disappear is a guaranteed occurrence in the game now.
If there is a focus on sincerely making improvements to the game now instead of new content, the focus MUST be on security and preventing this kind of cheating on PVP servers, or PVP servers should just be removed entirely.
I have often wondered whether they have indeed been able to gain access to the actual server password, as you can try this time and time again without nothing showing in the server logs.
I guess it all depends on how often Funcom changed the admin passwords on the servers.
No. Client forces packets and realtime alters ini files to enable certain admin commands. Throws massive flags to Funcom and usually accounts that do the big cheats (shift delete bases/ban players/1click kill all) get banned within 15mins.
Actually wild how much you can do with just altering ini files on Conan.
If you’re into pvp, definitely join a private server. Officials are just a mess these days. Cheaters everywhere, and it’s basically unplayable at this point.
And with what I’m seeing Funcom has officially abandoned this game.
I suspect server merges come soon, but seeing how they just turned off the help ticket system I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if servers just get “turned off” with no comment from Funcom.
Honestly it may be time for me to commit virtual seppuku and just delete all of my crap and go out on my own terms rather than wait for some hacker to do it.
This is the worst developer I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing, and I’ve been gaming for long enough to have seen horrors younger gamers can’t even fathom like Trammel and the NGE.
