A thread I started yesterday was first frozen, then removed entirely, The thread was called “Time to face the truth”. The reason given for removal was “Your post was flagged for moderator attention : the community feels something about the post requires manual intervention by a staff member. Multiple community members flagged this post before it was hidden.”
I was offered the option of changing my post, but have decined it. As far as I am concerned, it was moderate, courteous and simply voiced a conclusion about the game shared by many other players. None of the many responses was in any way offensive, yet “the community” was offended. (By the way, how many individuals are represented by the term “multiple community members”? Ten? Five? Two?)
Never mind. I do not think I shall in future ever contribute again to these pages, for there is surely something inappropriate about a “community” which practices censorship on its members. Shantih!
