But of course .
Preservation boxes. Your survival issues are ending exactly on this point. Your “primitive” preservation boxes can be feed boxes or thrall pots, the decay timer is really high on them, however how many chances are there, after a week gaming, not to own thralls or pets, no matter how good you are in this game? As soon as you fix your first preservation boxes your survival issues are over, your food is safe . Then you can start fixing decent meals and store them, but their raw ingredients too . I always fix more than 5 improved. Before the fishing nerf I had ten, the first five was only for each kind of special fish cooked .
About the “change” I really don’t care, I won’t mind at all if it’s going to be changed again, I just shared my pve gaming experience I had with this change that was not bad at all.
One thing more is “how the hell could I know” if devs did it for reasons I think, who am I? Yet it worked this way very successfully.
Always a privilege @Pugilist, thank you for chatting with me, I respect you a lot.
My most recent play through didn’t involve trying to level either. I found a spot I wanted to build in, got what I needed to build, and built. The effort used in that got me to 60.
That’s actually a good point. Why pounding on rocks can earn you EXP past about level 3 or 4 just seems strange. It’s like: Great, I pounded 200,000 rocks and now I am an experienced armorer, carpenter, or know alchemy.
Well it wasn’t just rocks, but gathering hide for tar and all that to make the steelfire for steel reinforcements. The best animals for hides/skins seem to give a ton of exp too while being relatively easy to kill.
Shamefully no…the attributes have basically been released and most of the corrupted perks as well. As long as there isn’t a significant change, I got my starting stats already planned if the gear isn’t going to affect them. I also already know where i am going to start playing with corrupted perks to see how fun they are…poor summoning place…too many souls to collect, not enough time.
The first time I made a preservation box, I used the Ymir temple to create black ice. Slow process, to be certain, but I was new to the game and this kept me safe while I was learning.
My apologies if I came across stridently. I was doing a quick dive from my phone at work and my haste probably clouded my tone.
@Pugilist.
I am not a skilled player, yet I am persistent. My steps on a new game are always slow and stable. I choose Mitra my very first time, and when I got my first ambrosia (op back then) I felt so lucky… It took me some time to understand that I could have more than one religion, yet I was not using the others believing that if I’ll stick with one maybe the game will reward me , you know, all the foolish thoughts we do on a new game. So my quest for black ice was painful. I went across the end of aquadect and builded a small box. I had a greater hyena with me to keep me safe. In the morning I decided to explore a little with my reptilian armor and my hyena, but I was freezing. I saw a frost lotus flower for my very first time, ofcurce I farm it quickly with my steel sickle, yet my game lagged and I hit the ice too. I opened my inventory and I witness ice inside. In the beginning I said awsome this flower gives you ice too, I have to find some more . Searching for frost lotus flowers now I will witness the black ice guardians and start running panicked back to my box, thinking how to win this beast. I left my hyena back, took my bow and iron arrows, find a spot and started shooting it. Pointless, 100 arrows and it didn’t loose half hp, so I had to fight!!! I took my ancient axe and charge on it.
I died a couple of times, but finally kill it. Back then the mobs didn’t replenish hp if you can remember, yet we couldn’t loot our bodies and have everything in order too, so I had to loot my things, go safe, wear my armor again and fix my wheel too.
Tough fight but I made it . I was so proud. When I killed it I harvest it with my pick and there you go, I took my first black ice, omg I was so happy, I could finally fix a preservation box, victory!!!
