This may sound like a silly story.
After the arrival of Isle of Siptah, the main theme song was changed. Personally, I don’t like the changed song and would prefer to hear the old main theme. Is there any way to replace the old song, even though it’s only a short time before the game starts?

The new main theme is garbage. It does not fit to Conan.
I always have to think of the second movie “Lord of the Rings” if I hear them. Especially on the scene in which Gandalf is caught in Isengard. He looks down from the tower and sees that the Orcs have taken everything.
The old theme was perfect for Conan-Exil. Near the Movie soundtracks with Arnie. Powerfull like Conan.

I wouldn’t call it “garbage”, but the old theme definitely sounded a lot more like Conan movies. It was so good, I had to go double-check whether Basil Poledouris was still alive (and when exactly he died).
It’s not high on my list of wants, but I would love being able to configure the game to play the old theme.

As I’ve said elsewhere before, I think it’d be great if the game defaults to the original theme and later uses the theme of whatever world you played in last.
But regardless of a specific solution, I think it’s a shame that the effort that went into the original art & musical theme (which were quite good) are now obscured from the user experience. Hopefully someone at Funcom already has or will take a note to do something about it someday.

I actually prefer the new siptah theme. Unfortunately one of my mods overwrites it again with another theme…

I’m glad to see that people who like the previous theme songs have given me more kind comments than I expected.
It seems like a good idea to have the last player’s theme song play the next time you start up the game.
It would be nice to be able to simply set it up, but it would be nice if there was some kind of support for it.

I don’t dislike the new Siptah theme, but I do miss the original “‘Anvil of Crom’ with the serial numbers filed off” theme. I can see why they changed it to build up hype in the run-up to Siptah’s launch, but I’m hoping they’ll change it back at some point.

Personally, I just run Spotify in the background with the Conan Exiles OST and Basil’s Conan the Barbarian OST on random.

Holy crap, how?!? I had a Conan the Barbarian OST playlist on Spotify, but they pulled the whole album from the catalog. Is it somehow available in your country?

I don’t see why they wouldn’t, they made it. It’s not the Basil Poledouris theme from the movie, it’s just made to sound like it because it’s so iconic.
