This is a logic of Pvp Friend.
PvP is meant to be ruthless and violent, so if you have a small clan and you’re getting beaten a bigger one it’s logic. Yet you have tools to face this.
You can harass them, allies with other, steal ressources etc etc.
Just relying on Thrall leveling to defend yourself make things a lot boring. The game is not about how good you are in 1 vs 1 but how good you farmed.

I am 100% for adding in a ‘Thrall Damage’ slider for PvP. Countless PvPers are telling us that they get killed in 2 hits from thralls. I know that getting two-shoted by the Arena Champion is trying enough, I certainly wouldnt want every single enemy I battle to be that strong. PvP really needs some rebalancing at the moment. The amount of overall issues, and conflicts between modes we could resolve in this game by simply adding in some additional sliders is huge.
Yeah I agree, thralls VS NPC’s should have different damage outputs than when they are hitting actual players. A player in the best gear vs a max level thrall in the best gear, player gets 1 or 2 shot from over 600 hp, while it takes hundreds of hits to get a thrall from 10-20k hp. Too much damage, they ruin PVP mainly. People just bait their thralls and Sword of Crom abuse. 7 of my thralls have the sword, I do the same crap, but wish I didn’t have to, I want a fair player vs player fight, I love when raid hours are over to PVP when thralls are useless.
the slave gets stuck, cancels the attack, it takes a long time, it is not difficult to kill him, bleeding poisons kill him even faster. Reduce the damage and slaves warriors will become useless and will drop out of the game in general
and what two blows are you talking about? if you are glass players who throw all points in damage. Then, of course, but this is your problem. I play on the official pvp server for a very long time and I did not have any difficulties with slaves.
The will have the same problem even if nobody will uses thralls and there are a group of two or three players in front of you.
Btw: A problem which exists since MMO are released the first time (WoW, AoC, SWTOR, etc.).
Bosses which are worth to be farmed will be farmed. In this case with or without thralls. And if you have a bad timing you will run from empty spot to empty spot.
And let me ask: If the majority of the player are happy to run around with a strong healthy thrall (and I assume the majority are casual gamer) and only the self called hard core gamer have a problem with this situation, do you think it will be fair if a game mechanic will be changed only to satisfy a minor group?
Yes. Why not?
Thralls are part of the game.
They are designed to follow and support you.
You have the choice to us it or not.
You are able to scale the support of the thrall by selecting the type of thrall (bearer, archer, fighter, dancer) and you are able to scale the support by outfitting the thrall.
So yes, I think it is a game mechanic that allows you to configure your way to play the game.
No, it’s a balance between what you describe and he describes.
If you get PVP too brutal, you kill pvp by having only alphaest of alpha clans being able to not being constantly anihilated. And there simply isn’t enough of them for pvp to live.
If anyone can resist alpha clans by constituing an army of thralls, then there’s no point in pvp and it dies.
That’s the whole point of game design, finding the balance between the necessary elements of gamesystem. Knowing that the balance you set will never suit the greater number of players, just being close enough for your game to succeed.
And the whole of this thread is giving the opportunity to private server admins to twik this balance in order get get this said balance closer to suit a wider audience.
I don’t see how anyone can argue for the current state of thralls.
Conan Exiles was made first as a PvP game, and currently, thralls can one-two shot the majority of players even in very good armor.
It is not an “option” to not use a thrall in PvP if you actually want to PvP. If the player is on your level with a half-decent thrall and you don’t have one. Then your chances of winning are slim to none.
I have a mid-tier thrall at level 16 in crap armor with a dragonbone ax that can solo all the world chest bosses. I just sit there and wait.
Maybe if they could just nerf them on PvP servers that would be fine.
If you like to play it this way? You can do it.
I like be fight myself aside my thrall. So he supports me.
If I understand you right, you let your thrall fight alone and only heal them from time to time (if needed) and then you call for a nerf because you wasn’t forced to fight yourself (what you were able to do)?
Yes. That is what I try to explain the whole time: Every one is able to play the game the way he likes to play right now.
If they change or better nerf the thralls to a level a casual game is not longer able to beat the bosses they are removing game content from this group of players only to come to a version of game the better or hard core gamer HAVE to play the game in a manner they where able to play it all the time: hard and deadly.
I don’t get. Why beat one group of player only to satisfy the other group even it is not necessary.
Actually, i use daggers, stack 20 bleed to speed up the farming process…or am i now not supposed to that because it made it even easier. Should i run around with a stone javeline, not put any atts in anything? If so, then why pay for a survival game with a rewarding challenge. IF you don;t like challenges, maybe you should play a building only game???
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I absolut like the challenge. But I also like to be able to kill a boss, even if I need a thrall as my support.
I.e. when I was the first time at the final boss of the wine cellar I wouldn’t be able to kill the boss without the thrall support. An even the thrall was tanking the boss I nearly got killed by the area effects and the adds.
For me it was a challenge and it will be the next several times, too.
So do I have the right to play CE in your eyes or do I have to play without the option to get the whole content only that you are able to play CE without to change your way to play the game?
This wouldnt be too hard to do after all the damage is already being calulated based on who hit from … they could easily do a check on if the hit person was a base player char or a Wildlife npc. If baseplayerchar -> use a boolean check server setting and then apply a 1x damg on false … and on true use server setting for it … on a .1 -.99 percentage level … that it … it would be very little blueprinting coding but funcom has to do it … us modder cant do that
Now the other way to do it … is to do deminishing return on damage output
on a curve graph. so you dont have too weak or too strong thralls that one even harder to figure out
