Keeping it secret is the best way for it never be fixed…
I made my first videos non public for funcom to fix, they never did, so at some point I had to make it public. But ofc if other players dont complain about ti they wont fix anything…
Bro these guys are noobs who dont even play the game, all they do is a few non advanced tests anyone can do in solo/coop.
They never test anything on servers, so everything they say have to be put to a real server test.
Yeah I do tend to take what those two have to say with a grain of salt. If a video has information that I can look up myself, but can’t be arsed to, then I’ll check it. But if its anything in the theorycrafting side of things, then their information is more than likely going to be off by some degree.
You do just need to do a bit more than play with admin settings.
For example, when spawning armor, its spawned, not crafted. Which means no crafting thrall bonuses. Those can add up depending on the build. You can spawn in a crafting thrall, station, mats and craft in admin… but most don’t bother.
In admin mode you can also play far more aggressively than a normal person would. I’ve seen videos where they have BiS rare stuff and jump in against something without abandon. You’re not going to do that on a server where if you die (or get ganked in PVP) you can lose your stuff. Either someone comes across and loots it before you get back, or your killer loots you.
Meanwhile Xevyr has done some serious work. Running tests with controls. Delving into the devkit to see why things work rather then guess by the effect. And most importantly he developed a Parser to use in real time to get real world comparisons from hard numbers.
He’s quickly becoming the patron saint of thralldom.
I think in this particular case it’s just the omission of all the caveats, cuz I did mention that this will not be the result in all scenarios.
Swap out the target for something that doesn’t knock down and has a much smaller hitbox and that might completely shift the results. Or the case of 1v2 thrall v. thrall as mentioned above, that’s why I’m saying that it’s very situational and both can be pretty fun and viable.

Thanks!
Hmm… I may or may not have spent a bit too much time on this stuff in the past few months haha.
I think it is a matter of play style myself. Both have good features. I prefer using one thrall with the boosted stats as I can grab just about any thrall and they immediately become a tank.
Currently I am using Gina, the master huntress and she is awesome. Started out with 25 strength ( an archer, go figure ) and she rocks.
