Accidentally blocked an emote with my base, advice needed

Hello, I’ve accidentally blocked an emote with my base location on an official server. Is that a bannable offence? Do I need to do something about it?

Thanks!

As far as I know, it is a point of interest, so yes you’d need to do something about it?

For one single emote I’ll need to open up my whole base? God forbid people can’t yawn lol

I’m also planning to compound my base which will mean it’ll be sealed in no matter what I do…
So what then?

You can take the risk if you want, I personally don’t think it’s a big deal, but strictly speaking it is a point of interest and you can possibly get banned for blocking access to it

Is there a way to ask an actual admin about it? If they told me to change it I guess I’d have no choice.

Yes, you should remove your baseparts that block access to it.

Or risk deletion of everything you own and temporary ban.

Do you think that’s enough? You can access it now. I’ll just have to reinforce my base in other ways I guess…

Staying there is its own risk. I personally wouldnt count on the fact that its exposed.

And what server are you on :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Why would you need to know that?

They won’t. One day it’ll be there, and the next it’ll be gone and you’ll have a 2 week suspension. Generally it’s always better to stay on the safe side and if you are blocking an emote, though it may be insignificant to you is still technically blocking a unique thing. I’d relocate entirely, but even allowing access is a step in the right direction.

Because thats just inviting false reports, trolling and god knows what else lol. Nah there’s nothing else wrong with the base, as far as I’m aware. Just that emote spot which I can build around for the most part.

you should not build at a emote point at all probably.
so dont build around it, but stay away from it 8-). thats just my 2 cents.

Why not? Its been the only place I’ve seen where I want to build and play the game and on this particular server, every other spot has raided bases.

Because servers have rules and it could get you banned…?

They do :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yes, other players have the right to learn yawn. Open a path or you might be punished and rightly so.

It’s not a “false report”.
It’s a legitimate report of your now knowing and willful violations.

You posted a question.
You received an answer.
Now you footshuffle about how the answer (that your base is a violation waiting to get you a suspension) isn’t to your liking.

Fun fact, no one responding here writes the rules.
But many of us have observed how they are enforced.

But this isn’t even a subjective matter of enforcement. It’s an objective matter of building over/around a point of interest.

Should building in those areas be disabled in officials?
Oh absolutely. A better sliding scale of building restriction should exist, not just the yes no, but a more robust one that would block all building in areas that would merit a suspension. And make it a toggle so private and single player can loosen or remove the restriction entirely.
But that’s tangent to the point that your build is easily and absolutely within the realm of violation.

If the spots on that server don’t appeal, go to a different one.

We already have it. Just check the option build everywhere on SP (and I assume on pvt servers too) and you can build even inside dungeons.

We don’t have a toggle in the other direction.
What is needed is the next step, building blocked in any area that blocks a learning event, named spawn, ect

That’s probably a lot of work to code.
