I see that you are adding the health numbers and stamina numbers to health bars, I really appreciate that. I would like to make one additional request:
The only way I know what the name of something is right now is by letting it kill me and then I get a message that “you have been killed by …”.
Please add the names to the enemies in the game, not just the humans.
I think you miss understand. All the thrall NPCs already have names. Some of them are Exile Fighter I and some are Cimmerian Fighter III, but at least when you point to them, that name pops up. If however, you point to a Rocknose or a Crocodile or a Kappa or anything else in the game, boss or beast, it’s name will not pop up. I understood the OP to be requesting that these names show up along with their HP bar (like most games in existence). Otherwise, the only way to learn their names is to be killed by them (or look it up on the Wiki).
Agreed, I do not want ‘Exile Fighter I’ changed to ‘George the Weak.’
Aye, I can see that knowing what the creatures is that you are fighting would be nice. The feed back with the creatures name is rather limited at times.
I admit, I was confused at first too, thinking that you’d want the non-named human NPCs to be Bruces and Sheilas.
But you know, what you’re actually suggesting here is a pretty good idea. If nothing else, it would make explaining things and surroundings to other people easier if we could call things by their actual names rather than try to describe “the black and red bug, about the size of an outhouse, with translucent insect wings on its back” - or letting it kill you to find out what it was.
