Age 2 Prediction: Age of Gods

I don’t see why religion isn’t revamped in this age. It may come in Chapter 2 or 3?

For now. I wouldn’t be too sure it’s fully off the table for now. We still don’t know the narrative of the chapter or what “the serpent will ascend” means. They could throw it at us in chapter 3 of this age as the finale.

There’s still hope. It would make sense to include in Age of War.

But hey, we can swan dive into piles of gold while we’re waiting. I know @Croms_Faithful requested that years ago. Happy for him there.

I doubt there will be a notable religion revamp this Age.

Age 3 will be Age of Gods.

I’m not going to get my hopes up. Dennis himself said specifically this ages focus was the purge system and AI combat. The “Rise of the Serpent” was referring to the arrival of the Stygian Empire whose nation is ruled by Toth Amon’s puppet and requires all citizens to worship Set. In some texts Stygia is referred to as The Fangs of the Great Serpent.

3 or 4 age will be Age of gods for sure, but 2nd age is strictly battle\fight\purge\siege focused

He wasn’t awful. He’s a passionate fan like most of us and was wanting to be right. Sometimes, when people feel they’re being attacked, they get defensive.

If they are going to improve purges and AI combat, I’m a happy player. Because this aspect of the game desperately needs improvement. I didn’t think they could pull it off though. Somehow, I suspect this Age will be my favorite right after the Age of Settlers, when we get a settlement system. Right after this one.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I think this is being added piece by piece rather than a single add from what I’m seeing. The heraldry additions kind of show this to me. Rather than one “system” it appears to be a bunch of aggregate systems that just liven up the game interactions and base.

Did you have something of value to add, or are you just here to take a dig at me for being wrong?

I would argue you arent even wrong yet. 3 chapters is plenty of time to rework religion. Anyone who thought they could guess “Age of X” and get X right was delusional given the amount of plausible words to pick.

Enough people guessing relevant words is still guessing…

Yes, but some people guessed correctly! That proves they (me!) are super-smart!!!11

No, seriously, the guessing game is a game by itself, isn’t it? I still like Jimbo’s prediction. It’s a good plan for an age after that. And we know that Funcom reads this thread and is likely to pick ideas from it. Hi, team Funcom btw.!

That may very well be the case, @darthphysicist . Implementing something along those lines with baby steps so nobody ends up frustrated. Well pointed out!

This one looks forward to seeing the tension and drama around divinations on the 3rd age when the time comes.

Speculation and prognostication are fun exercises.
Best of all, because it is a slap fight over something that doesn’t yet exist, it’s all very low stakes.
Watching someone build their grand conspiracy board with connective lines and observations both sagacious and presumptuous is entertaining.
There is some good work that goes into these.

So, these are appreciated.
Even if the age doesn’t contain what we hoped or wanted, perhaps it will be enjoyable besides.
And there’s always next time.

Until there isn’t.

And when that happens: Conan Exiles 2

Can’t wait.

Well we no longer need to guess.

Its the age of war.

We have this in Fallout 76… You can buy various things to change how your loot drops.
Duffle bags, Tombstone, bone pile…

I wouldn’t put it pass them.

Which I (among others) guessed correctly! Now, on to the stock market to make a fortune.

I’ll admit defeat, can’t predict em all I guess. We’ll guess again next Age and see who’s the tiebreaker now that we’re 1-1 for predictions

And if somebody is willing to pay for that, can you blame them?
