Purges could also change according to religious affiliation. Have an altar of Set in your base? Expect the Mitraen Inquisition! Worshipping Jebbal Sag? PETA, uhm, Set’s followers doesn’t approve of that!

I wouldn’t mind a religion revamp, mind you. I would prefer a settlement system though. 
This is a very tantilising idea @Khaletohep. And the idea of an advanced religious warfare mechanic of sorts sounds like a heck of a lot of fun. Couple that with more treasure additions too and that would be beyond amazing to me. I am really looking forward to seeing what will be revealed!

Ps- actually almost anything. For me personally, as long as it is not an Age of Pirates, as I humbly feel that we have enough pirate themed content already.

Not really. There was no vikings before 795 CE and the attack on Lindisfarne. That’s well after Ancient times finished.

In the proposed change, you could only build altars of your religion if you align yourself to one religion.
At least Mitra is exclusive anyhow; makes little sense lore-wise to have shrines to Mitra and Set in the same settlement. One can justify anything, but well, it’s still weird.
Who got it right? Yeah, dear friends, it was me!
Luckily, I’m too humble to brag about things like that. For years.

Age of War (new clan, war, purge updates). More pvp (not pve) Age.
The “war” parts have lots of PvE content if I understand correctly, maybe even more than PvP. It’ll be great for us carebears.
