Soooo WTF,WTF,WTF…well,i will start my Exiles land game…
Ah! Some days ago i was checking public beta,on siptah,not so much changes,no more khitian slavers and headhunting…a female character follower of Jhebbal Sag…but,i thought she was a new “companion”,just a dialogue…nothing more…almost everything is the same,well,just played for 4 hours or maybe more…night monster coming to you…and my worst deception…it was a new character,so no truncheon,sorcceres don´t carry that helpfully truncheon you can get easily some levels after,some levels after when you don´t need that unuseful truncheon…i saw a few new T4 warriors at a exiles camp,WELL this game is for better,more dificulty,more variety and by the way,new thralls with high stats…i can not knock them so i killed them…well,played to get a truncheon…i never more saw something especial there and anywhere,worst exiles warriors ever…
I was testing if i can get a better bearer and only fought against exiles,sorccerers and cage keepers…and animals
I took from cages 3 bearers…i´m new,new character,you can not carry a lot of things…
They bleed out,no DBNO state…those hated 360-720 HP life points,not a single one raise every stats…well…one of them were not so bad,growing even in strenght with less than 40 % chance.
why funcom does that kind of things???..
—when you need a wood truncheon,sorcceres don´t carry them inside sorcceres box.
—you can not just walk and find a fully equipement to play,there are even hardened bricks…flowers to craft potions…but you will never find all the equipement to be an adventurer…just walk,kill and wear new armour pieces
—i catched 6-8 floatsams…i now where you can find floatsams with,usually,shovel…not a single shovel…practice sword inside…and oh,well,flowers to craft potions…just a few things that are not helpfully because you need more level and a crafting station…
I think is not oriented to adventures players,but builders…there are food,but you need to know the map…

They should carry potions,healing potions,food,weapons,armour…a lot of things that you can not carry,just to discover the map and then deciding where to set your base and…use the pickaxe…

Now knowledge tree is a bite more weird,you can not craft or use or repair many things…last year i was playing with a level 60 character,so i don´t know were the changes has come…but to start a new character is quite weird,not dificult.

In the middle of a fight warriors stops and go back to their position…
I finally found a T4 blacksmith and when my wood truncheon was nearly broken,the guy went back and consciousness bar went full again…you can not find leather easy…a lot of gold,starmetal,even a lot of everything that you will not use
Maybe is more oriented to crafting/survival game than adveturer/open world/survival game,in this case,companions should be better and with more carring cells,even warriors,and you can carry more,take down that nasty weight in all items.

I really like this game,but,i don´t know what makes funcom makes those changes…

Please,put clothes to exiles…just pieces,even from DLCs…and good weapons…just to make hardcore players being interested in the game just with 30 mnts of playing it…
Now,the only difficulty of the game is raise to level 20-30,maybe 40,then is quite a bite easy in hardest level…where you can have just one settlement and get higher enemy damage.

There is no time to “hide it” and reset after raid. Expect esp attacks.

Someone kept blowing up my base, and that someone didn’t get the hint. Yeah I watch it. Fascinating… over each detail and how bombs are used.

Somehow it was worth (them) blowing my base up despite the fact… that… it requires reset. Learn to thrive.

True on PvP, but for me on PvE I’ll probably end up doing this.

Then again if no BP and I have no intentions of ever buying anything ever again, do I even need crafters?

With the ease of T3 mats dropping like candy and found in abundance in chests. T4 Crafters will be easily available in the game even more so than before.

Well, it may not look like it, but Conan Exiles is a sandbox game, not a theme park game, aka, an adventure game.
I have gotten this game because it is a sandbox game, like many people might have.
One of the main problems, this “hero” stuff included, that this game is being distanced more and more from the survival genre to become a “anything goes” type of game.
Like I said in other instances, it is all and good, but people who think it is good to have “every game be a theme park game”, including some devs, ponder on the following:

  • one of the main reasons Conan Exiles has the place it is has is because it is a sandbox survival game. The one thing that makes most players, as it seems, tolerate things that no other game does, is because Conan Exiles, as a sandbox and survival game, is one of a kind.
  • If not a more survival sandbox oriented game, Conan Exiles hasnt much going about it, because it does not have the combat system to compete with other combat oriented games, it does not have the level size or complexity to compete with other more adventure driven games, and it does not have the server agility to compete with most Mobas. So if it stops being a unique and somewhat above average sandbox game introducing these theme park features and rails in everything, it becomes a mediocre “something else” because it was not made to be one.

For the most part, Funcom games are always good for what they were meant to be, but they stop being good as soon as Funcom decides that the problem with a game is not its bugs, but its design decisions and aims. Every single one of them fails because guys fix things by changing things.

Yeah, that’s one of the problem with live service games: the game you bought keeps changing, and might eventually end up being something you wouldn’t have bought in the first place. :confused:

It can be hard to deal with that. Some people end up adopting the “it’s their game and their design, so deal with it” attitude. I’m not one of those people, but I’ve seen some forum users here say things like that :wink:

I promise i will stop to post here to don´t disturb others talk.

About bugs…Is clearly buggy…but i think is superable.
Myself have suffer a lot of buggys and really i don´t care that much about them.
Maybe making the game different is better to spend time being worried about those bugs.
I like new things,new events!!!
About bugs? well…one day all bugs will be out and there will be nothing more to worry about!!!
Really other games have bugs or less bugs,i don´t suffer them but i read a lot of logs with bugs fixes,in many games…i haven´t noticed most of them playing those games,and i have played many openworld/sandbox games.
These are the bugs i have suffer:
—The body with the equipement is not there.
—Solution:take care with the equpement you carry when you start a dungeon!!!
—Boxes lost their content.
—Solution: pray to have luck or just to have the idea of log out/log in 3 times and tachan!!! the content is inside the box.
—NPCs get stucked some places.
—Solution:Place them in other site and then ask them to follow you or left them there.
—Monsters dissaper behinf a wall.
—Solution:Is on the other room or the backfront wall.
—NPCs go back in the middle of a fight.
—Solution:Go for them again and …just a little more time.
—NPCs stucked in the middle of a fundation.
—Solution:Place them in other site and then ask them to follow you or left them there.
—Corpses and knocked thralls dissapear from the ground when you don´t look at them.
—Solution:You can get them back running some meters and then going back.
…not so much bugs!!!

There needs to be an option to turn off wandering workers or at the very least a way to place them at their stations permanently.

I feel the team does not do enough to ensure that console players get a fair deal when it comes to performance related issues.
There is soo much jank on ps4 it’s absurd, not to forget the lag even in single player when it comes to loading new areas and dealing with animations.
Since a couple patches ago, probably at the start of this last chapter, blue screen crashes have gone up.
I don’t even dare get into combat because that is where a lot of my crashes take place, when there is fighting.
Occasionally during non-combat, but mostly during combat.

Also i am greatful for the increase in communication on the new update, but the other set of concerns still have not been met with any sort of replies.
What about the bug fixes.

I will list a few of them again.

-Breast physics becoming stiff, yes this an important issue at least to me that this gets fixed.
-Falling through floors
-Orb of nergal just focuses on the chest
-Optimization for Sony consoles
-UI problems (hard to read text and issues with being able to assign items to the action wheel, it’s usually the first item on the list that won’t move over i think also issues with dropping items or moving them again this usually hits the first item in the inventory i believe.

These are just some of the items off the top of my head.
I am not sure how well things bode for the ps5, but i do know on ps4 things are barely playable.
I am sure things would be even better on ps5 with a good bug and optimization pass as the only real difference between systems is the hardware, the issues didn’t just up and disappear, they are just better hidden by more power.
So in turn a good optimization pass would definitely help the ps4 players tremendously i can also see it helping with ps5 systems as well if even to a bit lesser degree but still all the same helping.
I feel dealing with many of the bugs might also help with performance to a degree.

There is soo much bloat in the code i bet, the engine could use a serious cleanup behind the scenes i have no doubt.
The database alone has a lot of unused to unfinished assets i have been told and have run into myself from time to time trying to admin items that are just not there.

Again thanks for delving more into the new patch on the way, but more communication and work is needed.
What are you doing to address older bugs and performance issues on consoles?
As you the team remember, we do not get the benefit of mods or the ability to swap out parts like our PC comrades when things begin slowing down.
We can swap hard drives and i have on my ps4 to a ssd, but even that has not really helped the insane load times, lag, and jank.

If you plan to pull support for older systems such as the ps4, then let people know.
Even still that leaves the other issue i have brought up just the same, because as i said, things don’t just up and vanish because you have better hardware when it comes to outright bugs.

Cool beans, did they mention anything about if they would be including it in the patch?
Seems like it should roll out with it if they are going to have wandering workers, i hope they delay settlements till they get it under wraps as one really needs the other to be in working order first lol.

I really should not have been so absolute in saying there have been literally NO replies, i should have worded it better to no replies that “I” have seen.

In my opinion, I don’t think each member in a clan should build separate bases. It’s not communism to have a clan living together. Isn’t that sort of the point to having a clan? Living together, sharing resources? I’ve yet to see clan members having “separate small bases”. They are always large bases. All that does, to have clans all having their own building, is eating up more room that a new player could potentially use, and chewing up more server resources, causing more server lag and instability. Why is it so bad for clans to build a cool home base and all live there?

clans in the real world has had different towns. and yes forcing people to now live together is wrong…in my eyes

question how many of the 10 players are able or should be able to use the building system?

there is nothing wrong with your approach, as there is nothing wrong with mine, all 10 of us paid the same for enjoying the game, we should be all entiled to use the build system and each to build their own house in their preffered style.

how many people are in your clan?

I built an Inn. Everyone has their own little room. One base, four small buildings. Was in a ten man clan that built like that and the constant anxiety about being banned was not worth it. (Old clan was at a massive 25k building pieces, current is 2.5k for perspective. :unamused:)

Admittedly I haven’t read every response but have Priests been addressed?

People should keep to their strengths.
If you dont know what communism is, you should not use it in arguments.

But since it was “misinterpreted” already, one thing people should look up when facing these kinds of predicaments is what is called “tragedy of the commons”.

You see, in modern times, communism, capitalism, fascism, etc, became senseless words which often is used as something to say about that which you dislike, or that which is simply “anything that is not what you know what is”, so someone knows “capitalism” to be something, therefore “communism” and “socialism” is anything that is not what they think “capitalism” is.

All this, not to perpetuate the political discussion, but to make the point this has nothing to do with the thing: This has nothing to do with the discussion.

But the fundamentals of the study of “ALL OF THEM” do. Thomas Sowell once defined economics as “the study of the use of scarce resources which have alternative uses”, which does happen to apply no matter which system you are seeing. Socialism, Communism, Capitalism, this game, a playerbase, a team of developers, all have scarce resources which have alternative uses.

Whatever apply to any of those, apply to any system, capitalism, socialism, anarchy, “magocracy”, “teocracy”, “idiocracy”, you name it.

And the problem is basically that. Sometimes it seems players, devs, game publications, whatever, forget that no matter your ideology, scarce resources which have alternative uses will still be scarce, and will still have alternative uses.

Now for a “sassy note”, “having the same things everyone” has NOTHING to do with socialism or communism.
IF nothing else, everyone being the same, or having the same things is radically AGAINST the best practices of Communism or Socialism because it will damage the cohesion and best employment of the “communa” or the society.
