Age of Heros - Good news! Ultra rare Shieldwrights and Bladesmiths now murderable!

I’ve already lost a T4 Surge thrall during one of the original purges that spawned in my base. It was a named cook wearing Aquilonian Armor, that they no longer spawn wearing.

Some body has been playing soulmask. This is exactly how the thrall work in it.

We discussed this months ago, should be no surprise. Now for those on the public servers, count your thralls.

Bye bye villages full of workbenches and thralls doing nothing.
Bye bye big bases running multiple work benches.
Bye bye having a defended base AND a purge base.

And you know what you do when you already have trash thrall pathing? Right add 4X as much and make it 5X as complex. What could go wrong.

Those “PvP” players will have a blast dragging the arena champion on PvE servers to kill not just your fighters, but your crafters too. When you thought Conan Exiles couldn’t become more fun to play.

Killable crafter employees. None are safe now.
I find that to be an interesting twist.

Exactly.

Yeah, it was a sad day when all crafters came out wearing rags.

Im not saying this as a critique of the post. I mean it has happened a lot of times where crafter thralls being slaved into the workbenches decay over time and dissappear because of server settings. But yes I do agree that placing crafters like you would the barkeep will certainly run the risk of them being ganked in PVP or being kited and killed in PVE.

They also need to have some sort of system to send freed Thralls or converted thralls to some holding station for faster sorting, rather than move and guarding them from one point to the other.

I guess that’s going to be the final drop in the barrel for me, for good.
Lets wait and see

Quoting this. For any of those in the back that may have missed it.

hmm when people get raided , the raiders do not take the t4s with them? if so, the raided party is still loosing the thrall, is he not?

While I (obviously to those that know me) have no direct knowledge of PVP - my best guess would be that currently crafter thralls are mostly kept in secure chests/vaults somewhere deep within the base, and only actually placed on benches when in use (or as a deliberate ‘putting things at risk’). Under that system they would be far more secure than the new versions wandering freely around the base.

(It should be noted, I actually really like the sound of this update - first time since the Ages started that I’m seeing something added that I might actually like. However, it sounds like it might be yet another nail in the coffin of PVP - which by all accounts has been in a pretty disastrous spot for a while. Perhaps a good solution to this particular issue (and possible performance issues others may suffer from because of it) would be if it remains possible to pick up crafter thralls after they have been placed in the world? They apparently won’t level anyway under the new system, so in theory it should be possible to return them to inventory - and therefore protect them the same way as the old crafters.)

Did someone already said ‘Barnes for president?’

You as a PVE or PVE-C player are a legend and understand our problem.

Then not even mentioning that our crafters dont even need to walk outside our base.
2 years ago we reported a exploit for example where the enemy can ‘mesh’ bombs through ingame structures and walls.
Now 2 years later it still isnt fixed. All it takes is meshing bombs inside and the crafters die.

Glad I have a vault full of Shieldwright’s and Bladesmith’s.

Me too. (And not just on one server.)

Funny you mention the gas masks and then say you don’t have to worry because you are on a PvE-C server. I have seen thralls killed using gas on PvE-C servers before during two different time periods. Conan is ever evolving and constantly changing.

Just recently, the werehyena could have killed all of your placed thralls in your house while you were offline. A few of my buddies had it happen to them, thankfully at a smaller location. What I am really saying is that your inexperience and lack of knowledge about Conan are both showing with all of the comments you are making here.

you do knownthey will wonder right. Of they path outside, how do you stop that?
