This is still possible, the “special tools” have not been patched out of the game, even pickaxes with infinite durability are still in the game.
Crafter thralls being killed isn’t anything new in PVP. With explosives you can destroy crafting stations and storage containers and then leave them to despawn.
I’m wondering if people actually didn’t know that ![]()
on pve there are other ways than using purge, using purge is the most expensive way to do it. Arena champion can be knocked and dragged like other thralls using a gliteched truncheon that some players still have on official servers, there are the zath orb way that is absurdly easy and cheap to do, largedlly taught on xyz tubes, there are another one related with spawn over someones thrall to kill it (i was victim of this one 2 times). Also even if you locked your base people can glitch inside with ceiling bug, or simply fall through the buildings and wait inside for things to materialize again. Also they can summon a purge near by and lead domilisher to your walls and break it, if they have time no matter how good the defenses are they can easily overcome it. Only safe places are deep water an high places or places wher the purge dont spawn. Against the thrall killing exploits theres is no way to be safe, better not leave any valuable on thralls, and now that crafter will be targeted i believe the better will shouls be put them sitted inside cages near the benches we want the bonuses. The living settlements will looks like a prison if they dont fix those exploits.
regarding pvp those exploits can be performed at any time allowing to kill thralls not only in raid time.
Oh my gosh I hadn’t even considered this! Holy shit you can absolutely bring an exploited knocked out NPC to any spot on the map and allow it to wake up.
a normal npc dont offer great danger, and dont worth dragging many of them to harm someone, unless the guy hate much that people in particular. lol
I didn’t want to go into so much detail about all the possibilities, I’m well aware of them, but the truncheon exploit was fixed, they just neglected to take the exploit truncheon/repair hammer out of the game. The pickaxes with infinite durability, with the Oil of Bounty are also a case in point.
if anyone is interested a link to a YT video from Kacey:
It’s a big change, but it looks like Funcom wants to integrate all NPCs into combat. It might add strategy, but I hope they listen to community feedback and adjust if needed.
even though we’re on PVE, I’m also a little concerned
Even on PVE it will now be easy to lose a crafter , just an “accidental” purge from another player or luring some NPC/wild animal into the base.
If a crafter has 200 hp, even a stupid wild goat will kill him.
I would suggest that crafters stationed in stations have a slider like fighters and there you could set a maximum radius in which they could move
They usually don’t
Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu think thats the only issue there? ![]()
False promises for half year,
no bugfixes that now is more than 3 years old
now thralls will be killable ( where in private servers cant follow up probably where and who )
they took ideas from modders who does not get anything but leave game
( The animation of this ‘‘new update’’ is more less like killing better thralls, unlock plus, and many more mods where modders even gave up on this game with these idiotic UNWANTED updates)
The siptah was last good update, all after siptah is litterally like kicking dead dog, kinda moves but not plays anymore…
Could just go to that dune and leave this conan alone…
this is literally meaning of from hero to zero…
in my opinion…
Prices are not normal, still cant make regional prices, breaks every mod up, adds unwanted updates… and so much more… its sad that the game is owned by dunno who owns it now that forces all this stupidity to be done without bugfixes, i start to believe those crazy players wo says that devs trys to kill conan so everyone gets dune now…
That next update literally destroys my private server with all this thing, questlines done because npc update, houses done because added those heroes now… … mods ( 4 already i know will be gone … ) and nobody care on this…
i take no issue with your criticisms, all are legitimate grievances. except for:
i am a modder. i mod because i want to make the game better, more fun, more stuff to do. if funcom ‘took ideas from me’ i would not expect to get anything from it, nor would i leave the modding community in a fit of rage. if my idea for modding was to make the game more fun, add new feature, and funcom turns around and makes that idea into base game feature, then that is a good thing, is it not? however, if i am modding for recognition, if am modding so i can have a personal discord full of “fans” who hang on my left nut like i am some sort of f***ing celebrity, then i am modding for the wrong reason.
this is my take as a modder, on the issue (oft-repeated, especially since this AoH announcement has incorporated some of the things that mods have been doing or trying to do for a while) of funcom ‘stealing’ ideas.
there are certain modders who believe they are important, and are getting angry that they are not being treated as important, and as a result they are leaving the community and abandoning their mods. funcom didn’t do that to you. insert self-important modder name here made that decision. modders can quit for whatever reason they want, nothing wrong with that, it is their hobby. but CE is also funcom’s game, and they can do whatever they want with it. if modding is no longer a fun hobby, the modder should quit. and if playing the game is no longer a fun hobby, the player should quit.
if you hate this game, stop playing it. if you genuinely believe funcom is taking it in the wrong direction, stop playing it.
So you dont care about that devkit not updated normally, half is not reacheable and locations changes all times? and that each update breaks something?
that i told because like when i joined i readed even there is payment for modders… if its good enough, now it stopped, where did go asuras chosen titles and so? ![]()
“if you hate this game, stop playing it. if you genuinely believe funcom is taking it in the wrong direction, stop playing it.”
This about this is that i like and many players like the conan from 1980 movie, that is ONLY reason why i am still playing and angry about bad updates
If anyone who would not update with all the bugs, make same game i would literally leave this one, but funcom wont let any better similar game exist as conan is under them…
- i dont play much anymore in officials, only private servers that closed and modders disable these new unwanted things… like old combat system or so on

asura’s chosen titles being given were retired in part because of the extreme toxicity of this game’s community, in my opinion. i have no desire to see funcom make a Ragnar the Random NPC in the base game, because i am not special and could care less about recognition or pseudo-celebrity.
i definately do care about the devkit not updating in time. they promised this time they will do right, i will give them the benefit of the doubt and see what happens. they have dropped the ball alot over the last year, so we shall see if this longer-time-in-the-oven development cycle is good for the game and good for the devkit. i don’t hang on funcom’s testicles as a fanboy, but i also don’t throw turds for the sake of throwing turds.
i assume you mean the stuff in the game that is not moddable. are you talking about the underlying c++ code we don’t have access to? are you talking about the assets that funcom purchased under license to use in the game, but does not have the rights to sublicense to modders? are you talking about the events that are tied to FLS? do you know what is and is ‘not reachable’ ? do you know on a technical and legal (licensing issues) level why those things are ‘not reachable’ ?
i never heard of them paying modders. in fact, the EULA i read when i downloaded the devkit pretty much said the opposite.
it is a live service game. the exiled lands map will change over time. a modder who chooses to change the exiled lands is signing up for this, especially if they are making hard saves of funcom levels instead of using modcamp levels they provided for us to avoid dirty editing.
yah, it does. it will continue to do so. and to combat this, funcom needs to give us the devkit in time so modders can fix their mods before live game gets pushed. they’ve not been doing that over the last year, and it has sucked for modders and for players. i don’t deny this.
there is also the reality that many mods are changing core functions of the game. if funcom also changes those core functions in the base game, there will be a conflict, mods that are changing those core functions will break. modders choose to mod a game that is live service and continues to develop. we can easily choose to quit if it’s not worth our time to adapt to funcom’s changes.
i’ve only ever had one functionality ‘break’ from updates, when funcom changed the way the game determines what combos are available to NPCs. i fixed it in a couple of hours, and adapted to the change. i make a conscious choice to never hard save or make dirty edits to any core blueprints or game functionality, because i don’t want to have my mods break every update. and guess what? as a result of that conscious choice, my mods don’t break every update. if i made the conscious choice to hard save and make dirty edits to core blueprints and game functionality, i would do so with the knowledge that it is going to break next update, and i will have to fix it.
Events and newest updates
how long was till last devkit update 3 months?
That one then was maybe the asuras title… dunno, but ye not anymore i heard about payment stuff… it was like, if they pick some mod job in game they do give dlc or something like that (somewhere in 2019/20 that was writed )
Fine this i ok, agree to you, but what if someone NOT modder lives on that location ? meh tear down? I mean on siptah where i played officials i builded like on day the dlc was released… i builded Year, clanmate helped, you can see it, theres open area… if they decide now to make anything there new, the house is gone…
Why not then change it where nobody can build? normally ( not mod wise this was meant )
Last one thanks, but remember how it was with update that killed literally all private servers for like 3 months because of chache issue?
then the update that broke up connection
then the update that i dont remember anymore - Banned everyone!
updates should be normal specially if its made by company that gets money of it not like some students that make mods and tests out…
If it is work then do atleast it normal way… without breaking anything… thats my idea on this
I basic dislike these updates in way that they ruin stuff that they should not, so could just leave the game as it is, fix broken stuff and let it stay…
I mean i am even thinking there will be update that will complete wipe servers by ‘‘accident’’ like it was with those permanent bans…
