Slim chance this will be seen, but with the standing statement that after each Battle Pass the rewards are unobtainable, I have to say, Funcom, you’re shooting yourself in the foot.
My job takes me away from civilization (and internet access) for months at a time, and because of that, I missed out on Age of Sorcery Chapter 1. If you were to do a redux and run them again later in the year, like what Hello Games does with their No Man’s Sky expeditions, you’d have late comers to the whole BP thing (like me) buying in, and you’d buy yourself 90 extra days per redux to make a heavier content drop.
At the very least, please maybe drip the old bp content through the bazaar on occassion? You’d increase interaction with the bazaar, and probably generate a little passive revenue. And for relatively little work on your part.
You’re not alone in this. However, Funcom has repeatedly stated that they’re not going to do this. I suspect the higher-ups are convinced by their marketing strategists that limited-time offers are the best way to make money, and to heck with customer satisfaction.
A three-month period to complete the Battle Pass is quite generous for the average gamer, so at least there’s that in Funcom’s defense… but I understand how it can still be highly inconvenient for people in your situation. There’s really no other good explanation for the limited-time offers than attempting to get people to “buy now or forever hold your peace”.
