Typical Funcom. They cause major issues with every update. Then it takes ages to get these fixed. While modders are much faster and have already updated their stuff.
Mid-January is not a hotfix. Its a slap! Funcom should be called out in public for this. It means essentially again like many times before that servers cannot properly work or use all functions for more than an month.
It Will be fixed sure , next year. !
I made a tichet to Zendesk with the ban appeal. I get a response in 1 min with an automated reply to provide the same information I already submited in the tichet. I wrote the same information in the mail reply, and got hit with another automated message to provide said information again.
So, what now?
At least disable decay timers. I donāt see this ban issue being resolved until january.
Cleanest way to resolve this, is to rollback the update and relaunch in january.
Please offer this man a job at Funcom headquarters!

What I am noticing you DONāT talk about here is any planned compensation for the players this company has screwed over. A weekend of increased harvest rates on official servers is not going to cut it.
Iām still banned. I did the ticket as required and Iāve not had a response.
Since I pay over $60.00 a month to host a private server Funcom is literally costing me money for a game I canāt even play.
Letās talk about the ācombat changes.ā Youāre telling me this was ON PURPOSE. And that it needed to be done in order to COMBAT ANOTHER ONE OF THE GAMEāS BUGS. You know, instead of fixing the bug. And you offer a janky āworkaroundā that is still completely gimped compared to what we had before. And the part thatās REALLY killing me here is that you, Andy, act like this is surprising news to you that this was even done. Maybe thatās because Funcom snuck it in without ever bothering to mention it? Because they sure didnāt tell players about it anywhere. And Funcom absolutely KNEW that players didnāt like it. They definitely got that feedback from test live. And not only did nothing but kept the whole thing quiet. I guess they just hoped no one would really notice or would be so addicted to their game that theyād keep playing even with being forced to be entirely gimped against the AI in combat. Honestly my friend, this bothers me maybe even more than the ban and the OUTRIGHT THEFT of my remaining Crom Coins.
But letās talk about that for a minute anyway. As things stand, Funcom is quite literally stealing from me and everyone else who has been banned. Theyāve stolen from me the game Iāve paid for, including Isle of Siptah and the things Iāve bought in your infernal cash shop. Theyāre stealing from me the money Iām paying for a server I cannot access. Iām not a fan of thieves, you know, outside of Conan himself.
The camel mounts not working was also not something Funcom didnāt know. They just didnāt care to fix it because hey itās just a small thing they can kick down the road a bit.
And you canāt tell me that Demolishers dealing more damage than intended to foundations was something they didnāt discover during test live either. So theyāve released a completely broken core game mechanic thatās very likely to result in many players losing their bases on official servers. And people wonder why Iāve never once played on an official server and wouldnāt if you paid me.
What this smacks of to me is that Funcom has an utter inability to meet the update deadlines imposed on it by their overlords (and we all know who Iām talking about) which is, even to me, an insane production schedule. You donāt massively change a game every 3 months. You do it, at most, once a year. Not because players donāt want new contentā¦ but because that kind of rushed production BREAKS GAMES. It encourages shoddy workmanship and cutting corners. It stresses out good staff members and encourages them to seek employment elsewhere. In short, itās a really really bad idea.
And now we get to the ābestā part of all this. Funcom is just going to F off FOR A MONTH and leave this steaming pile of garbage running as is and then START to fix it when they get back.
Seriously Funcom, revert all the changes. Delay this game breaking and customer trust breaking āupdateā til later, whenever later may be. Do whatever it takes to restore everyoneās banned accounts. And then actually COMPENSATE YOUR PLAYERS IN A MEANINGFUL WAY. And start with a sincere apology.
I work in IT support company, and if there any āfireā situation, workers must even back from their vacation for time of resolve major problem or must work remote from home to extinguish the fire.
Just wait a few days, forum will really IGNITE when people start losing bases on officials due to decay if they canāt login thanks to bans.
in the past funcom never cared for people wich lost something, remembe the FTL bug wich prevented people who buyed the game from playing cuz theyr OS was to old for the new implemented Anti Cheat stuffā¦
or do u remember as they launched the launcher and lost 50% of the players wich were after that no longer be able to join any serverā¦

funcom in the past has never compensated anything, they not even have cared about all the players lost on the base, remember the launcher invention, were 50% of the players wer cut off forever, or the FTL Bug, and Later the Anticheat OS to old Problem and conan exiles had massive loose of players in the past whats left has only survived cuz of the good work from the modder scene, and that is hated by the lead designer, if u go to the official page and want to report ur problem u see u have to enter ur official server number, which u dont have if ur on a unoffical modded server, thats the way the lead designer punishes the modder scene by constant firing up cannons in that direction and if they continue this game will shurly dieā¦

Some may not even know the amount of crom coins they had or lost and some may be absent for reasons, what happens to them when they return to the game in perhaps weeks or months?
There is no way to see your transaction history like with a bank account, how are people supposed know if they have the right amount of crom coins?

I am sorry to hear that Americans have such poor work rights, but trying to project such to countries that have rights to holidays is just sad to see, also it could bring Funcom in a ton of trouble legally in Norway.
I am not Norwegian, but I am from Denmark and we have many similarities in many aspects of life.
The right to vacation is something that we have fought for through many years, no one outside should ever dictate how and when we should take vacationsā¦ It is a game, not a life threatening situation.

And this is one of the reasons why attacking individuals at Funcom for this is wrong and - to be frank - stupid. Maybe dev X knew about an issue, reported that to his or her superior, and got instructed to publish the update anyhow. What is he or she supposed to do? Go on strike?
Weāre all just working with the tools, the time, the people, the skills were are given by whatever circumstances.
Funcom as a whole can and should be blamed. Some or even most of the issues are pretty obvious and/or were reported during beta.
But who at Funcom made what decision and why, we donāt know. So blame the company, not the people.

At this point even the CEO of funcom couldnāt convince me they arenāt purposely tanking this game.
There is no other explanation for this sort of consistent, predictable, major breakage of the game. Every update loses more players because of game stopping bugs, then come back for the new content.
And every update just adds insult to injury, like banning people for 0 reason and expecting them to go through some length ticket report system in hopes of getting back in the game before everything they own decays.
Just how many people flat out just quit the game when they got the ban message? I mean we know what apx 10% of players are doing, griping here. What about the other 90%?
And just how is funcom going to make up for this absurd ineptitude? Some placation bonus % in the battle pass.
funcom, you have test servers why do you not use them properly? ALL of this could have been sorted on the beta servers.

Thatās exactly what Iām doing. I actually really like a lot of the Funcom folks and I always feel bad for poor Andy here when heās thrown in the stocks and has to try to placate a bunch of (rightfully) pissed off people with no tools to actually make anything better. They really better be paying him a lot.
