Am I The Only One Who Doesn't Like the Changes to Stack Splitting?

No, you aren’t alone. This is the dumbest idea ever and whoever thought it was an improvement is actually braindead.

@bulltrup Kane lives in death.

Today was surely the day.
“Hmm, I’m low on feasts. Better take some with me.”
Open an ice box.
See 7567 Yog Feasts.
“I need only 50.”
Split.Split.Split.Split.Split.Split.Split.Split.Split.Split. Not enough slots in the inventory
Take the smallest stack out of box.
Drop into a random chest.
Split.Split.Split.Split.
Get something close to 50.
Yippee!
Such a good change @den
Please remove the PC hotbar and KBM support next update. No one uses that anyway.

I’m one of those idiots. Welcome to the hell I and the other idiots have been living in.

Would have been nicer though if we’d all been lifted up to heaven instead. But well, equality by shared misery is still equality.

Funny though… I never heard of a game nerfing the inventory before because it worked too well.

Funcom really does know how to innovate.

In a discussion we were talking about the control changes, then some “creative” conversation got to this sum up:

Controls: Still annoying to control the, sorry but only word I can find to define it, retarded turning, as it retard turn long after you have turned the mouse. The word tard which means “delayed” is correctly used here. Like the french plus tard means later (à plus tard: see you later). Retarded turning meaning you can turn the mouse, or the directional, you need to redirect later to get the character to turn, so retarded turning.

I guess the item splitting is now the same design choice: retarded splitting.
You need to split, split, split, and redo the stack later, so might qualify as a kind of retarded splitting system.

The most basic of item stacking… select a specific number to move… nowhere to be seen.
“Strong is the stupid with this one…”

Hate it.

Also hate:

• when searching for specific items can see the rest of the inventory, there’s no indication that those items are selected/targeted then have to press > Quick Stack > Give all to move it to another container/bench from inventory.

WHY

• Heaviest first option is still ok BUT when selecting each of the types of items, i.e.,… consumables, if you have a pretty full inventory you have to scroll down and down and down to ensure you see all the consumables instead of it auto sorting to top…

WHY

I HATE IT.

I am base Mom, I sort, craft, organize, build and ensure the rest of the clan is set up. There’s no fuvking way this is a benefit to me.

No your not ruins the game for me by far the most terrible decision from the devs for this update along with all the unnecessary accessibility and inventory changes

However, take not of this factor:

This is BS! They need to put the stack splitting back immediately. This has totally ruined the game.

definitely the worst game update since its release.
This is what happens when devs don’t play the game.

quite an achievement given how bad some of the age of war changes have been

Well, that crown sits on the last update. Unintended ban wave, camel obviously never tested once, broken camera.

The current update is, uhm, full of weird stuff. But no mass bans so far…

Has Conan Exiles evolved to AAAA game? Or it is already AAAAA?

I hate it.

And grow ever more disenfranchised with the game’s direction as known bugs persist, non-issue game aspects are turned into issues, and game feedback is seemingly ignored yet they continue to ask for more money.

My faith in the team erodes daily.

I want to believe in the potential of this game again, but now I just see wasted potential.

i don’t understand why they had to “fix” mechanics that were not broken. I hate the new split system, the new selection wheel and also not being able to use a torch while riding. I’m sure i’ll come across more “improvements” that i’ll also hate…

Am I going crazy or is it impossible to mass drop items now?

No. I almost lost a thrall earlier because of both being the same. :weary:

At this point it’s more dropping a random thing out of your inventory.

It’s a big ol’ mess.
