And why wont these floors rotate!

Game mode: [Online]
Problem: [Bug]
Region: [USA]

I don’t understand also why for the life of me these floors won’t rotate in some spaces. Can see in the pic below there are 2 yellow lines going left and right which will make my floors look messed up. You can see the path that wont let me rotate. Just doesn’t make sense.

Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Select foundation to place
  2. Try to rotate to keep my ocd in check
  3. Won’t rotate at all…keep button mashing…
  4. Grrrrfckdmnshtcnt meh!

Seriously look at this crap. All these spaces wanna place the opposite direction…

Sometimes you need to destroy a foundation to place a foundation correctly or sometimes if you logout the game and log back in it’ll work

You have to destroy the foundation underneath (i guess it is a tier1), then place a new one, but rotated. Then you can place the upper tier3 foundation the right way. This s*** happens sometimes.

And, the bigger the base, the funnier the occurrences :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hello @Scumdog1980, thank you for your report, we’ve registered the issue for the developers.

In the meantime, Muelee’s workaround is valid and should assist in ensuring that the newly placed building pieces can be rotated.

Yeah I broke the foundation, put a new one in after rotating it, still the same. Now it’s a guessing game down there on how to rotate it. I gave up and just placed them.

I did noticed something else though while building. I made the building 2 floors. Got a bunch of small rooms upstairs with a hanging light in each one. Now my downstairs is super lit up from the lights upstairs. Shouldnt the ceiling tiles be blocking light from the downstairs? Maybe just see light in the stairwell? (Will upload a pic later)

If breaking the foundation doesn’t work, usually switching to a different building piece, then back to the one you’re trying to build, will allow you to roatate the piece correctly.

Ambient light bleed has been a thing in CE since forever, kind of like how tiles are dawn “wet” indoors when it’s raining outside and other such oddities.
